Re: Kenwood DNX570HD No boot Red Triangle Lit - Characteristic Fault?
I know this is an older thread but I figured I would also throw in my two cents. I have a DNX690HD, and I can't use it in the summer. As others have said, it is the BGA of the main chip on the daughterboard. It just can't handle the summer temperatures which i've measured up to 160f in the car. Which shouldn't be "that" hot for solder to deal with, but apparently they used the same manufacturing techniques as the first generations of the box 360, that got the red ring of death from the same problem. The boards warp from heat, and break or weaken the solder balls.
My only solution is reheat the board with a heat gun when it happens, but also not leave it in the car in the summer, which is ridiculous. These DNX radios, while they might be 'old'...are not cheap. They are very nice radios, that were not built to withstand the high heat environment of car interiors in the summer. I even pulled the dvd player out of mine, and added a fan directly to the top of the heat sink for the problem chip, but it can only do so much, since the problem usually stems from the radiant heat building up in the car on a summer day, when the radio isn't even powered on. I would like to reball the entire chip with better solder, but I don't have the tools or capability to do that.
I'll also add, the heat can also affect the original sd card on the daughterboard and corrupt it, but usually that results in a garbled software image, but the radio is still 'useable'. I fixed mine when that happened by imaging the original sd card onto a new one but you have to do it byte for byte 1:1 type of deal. It was the first issue I fixed with the radio, and so far the newer sd card has held up better to the heat...but of course, still have the BGA issue.Last edited by fierygt; 09-15-2023, 07:09 PM.Comment

Re: Kenwood DNX570HD No boot Red Triangle Lit - Characteristic Fault?
My DNX570 acts up when it's very cold. Sometimes it just reboots and blows out it's settings so I have to redo all that. They are temperamental. I have not yet had BGA problems people speak of.
I have found the unit gets very upset with a weak battery cranking the car.
Either the voltage sag causes the problem or the IGN key power going away (during cranking even though the unit has BATT feeding in power...) makes it scramble things.
I have to update the GPS map, but Garmin has some security crap involved as well.Comment

by privato89Hello everyone,
I'm facing an issue with a HEG-001 motherboard that is unable to complete the Second-Stage Boot. I'd like to start directly with my conclusion, which is the decision to replace the MAX77621AEWI chip, and understand if it could be a correct evaluation.
Before I dive into the process that led me to this decision, I want to mention that I have a fully equipped lab where I can perform any kind of tests.
Let's begin:
Following some guides online, I tried to understand how the Boot phase of the Nintendo Switch works, and what are the... -
by hinisaI'm using Xiaomi Router 4A gigabit edition as wireless repeater. It worked fine for 2 years or so, but last week, wireless started to disappear.
When I unplug/replug the power, it was working fine for a day/half a day or so until it freezes again.
After testing with different power supply adapters and concluding it wasn't the issue I finally opened the case and this was the situation:
Anyway I proceed to clean up the mess and replace all caps but unfortunately it made the situation worse. Now router can't even boot, either it freezes during...-

by NolesFanHello all... TV started boot looping. Opened the back panel and tried to isolate the problem. Just PSB no boot loop. PSB and MB no boot loop. Plug in the LVDS from panel to MB and boot looping starts up. It doesnt matter of order that I plug the LVDS ribbons back in, only 1 and no boot loop but as soon as 2nd one plugs in boot looping. I then noticed a flicker on the screen when I was closing the clip on the harness to the LVDS. Shut the lights off so I can see better, and I noticed as i slowly close it, I will get a picture, but as soon as it clips in, I lose picture and booting happens. So I...2 Photos

by torchzackHi Team - just joined to see if anyone can offer some expertise in diagnosing an issue with a TV.
I've done a few hours googling and youtubing but just seeing if anyone has any insight here. I got a 55" Samsung UE55MU6470U which seems to boot loop and then after 10 mins will boot, work for a few minutes, then turn off and repeat.
Whilst it's on into the normal Samsung menu/boot screen it looks perfect - so I can't see there being any screen issues. I've seen lots of videos with taping across clock lines to diagnose which particular one may be an issue but i don't... - Loading...
