    Yamaha RX-V467 power problem

Hi, I need Your help with Yamaha RX-V467. This receiver don´t turn on, voltage on the power switch (SW472) is 0V, PSW_DET pin of IC20 (CPU) is 0V too. Every VCC pin of the CPU have 3,3V. I replaced capacitors on Video (2) and Video (3) board: C3701, C3717, C3802, C3803. Transformer is ok. Here are the measured voltages:

    +3,3M 3,3V
    ACPWR_DET 2,54V (CB382)
    ACPWR_DET 2,54V (CB381)
    RESET 3,3V
    PRY 0V
    DEST 0,02V

    Thanks.

You can try a manual /reset by momentarily shorting Q3803 (page 111) with power on. See if that makes a difference.

      Re: Yamaha RX-V467 power problem

After shorting Q3803 I get 3,29V on power switch, but the receiver still don´t turn on. The relay don´t click.

      +3,3M 3,3V
      ACPWR_DET 2,54V
      RESET 0V
      PRY 0,13V
      DEST 2,6V

It looks like you might have a problem in the reset circuit, I see you replaced the caps in that circuit already, were they bad? what was the reason to replace them? and did you use the same values and not go larger.
I your reset pin was 0 volts. Do not leave q3803 shorted, only do a quick short after you apply power to simulate the reset pulse. this pin should return to 3.3 volts.

One of this caps are bad, since previously the value of the ACPWR_DET was lower (1,2V).
By the way, what is the function of reset circuit?

The reset circuit tells the microprosessor to start running the program from its start point. without the reset the micro might start to run the program at any point in the program and not work properly or not at all.
the reset happens a split second AFTER power is applied, you need a dual trace scope to see it.

              Wow ... Thank you

              What should I try next?

I have measured all resistors, but all are OK.

                Re: Yamaha RX-V467 power problem

In post #1 you have these values :
                ACPWR_DET 2,54V (CB382)
                ACPWR_DET 2,54V (CB381)
                I assume you ment, 2.54v on AC_PWR (CB381)
That should be .5 volts, so check R3702 & R3703, then check the optocoupler, if you can.

another thing to try is to short AC_PWR to DGND on CB381 This should give you 3.3v on ACPWR_DET on CB382
It could be that the micro is missing this signal and thinks it is not pluged in.

                  Re: Yamaha RX-V467 power problem

Sorry, the correct value on CB381 is 0,2V (not 2,54V)...

The R3702 and R3703 resistors are OK. The problem may be in the IC375 ???

                  After shorting AC-PWR to DGND on CB381, nothing changed - ACPWR-DET still 2,54V and PWSW - 0V.

                    Re: Yamaha RX-V467 power problem

Check the voltages on the Video(3) board, Q3801 should be 3.3 on collector, if its low that might be causing ACPWR_DET to be low, it should be 3.4 volts
The line goes straight to the micro so it should be 3.4 volts, 2.54 might just be too low for the micro's logic

I don't know how you are getting 4.7 volts on Q3801 collector, but I would change D3803, or swap it with one of the other ones to see if it changes the voltage on D3803 anode. Check that R3804 100Ω is ok.
I don't know if ACPWR_DET is the problem, but that voltage should be 3.3 not 2.5

put a heatsink on it to prevent it from failing again

I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
                              1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                              2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.

When I reflash again the bios of hoaca388 the unit powers on and the unit lives!!! Hooray!! All voltage in the coil 3.3v, 5v and 6.7v indicate charging are all present. including the cpu voltage , EEPROM and GPU voltage the unit is now alive, normal screen booting to windows and log in screen until I power it off. Then the unit never goes on even when pressing the power button in the keyboard.. Voltage reading 19v main , 3.3v VCC in IT8225E-128 and EEPROM VCC 0 volt and the charging voltage 0 volt.

Try to trace the power switch button goin to the power switch IC PU8803 (APL3533AQBI-TRG)...

Hello, trying to fix C9 55 inch. I have pulled the back and all looks completely normal with nothing burnt so far. This is first time attempting to fix a tv so any help is appreciated.

Problem. I hit power button, red light on TV turns off and tries to turn on, no picture shows up and then shuts off. This occurred after house power turned on and off, not from a storm.

I have tested the power going from power supply to main board, all 12v and 20 volt readings are proper when I hit power button.

The power supply to t con is different story.

I have a lenovo ideapad 5 14itl05, board LA-K321P, That will only power up on Battery only, or with battery disconnected and power adapter only. If battery is connected and usb-c power plug connected. It only works on battery and will not charge. I can however force it to charge by connecting the battery from a disconnected state while the power USB c plug is powering the laptop.

Additionally....to add to this strange situation. The usb-c power plug ONLY works to power the laptop on one side when inserted into the boards power usb c plug. If you rotate it 180 degrees, the board gets...

I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
