Soundcraft UREI 1601 - master bus problem

    Hi Everyone,

I have a problem with UREI 1601 which is a digital DJ mixer. There is no sound on MASTER OUTPUTS despite the fact that on MASTER CUE everything works fine. I checked control voltage on master pot, there is none. So I'm looking for the source of the CV, and also the source of signal for IC10 which is MASTER OUTPUT buffer, but it is a multilayer board and I already spent a two days on it. Does any one have any clue? Or maybe schematics? I could not find one anywhere. Or some advice from more experienced circuit expert on how to look for it.
I asked for help at Soundcraft support but they're not responding.

    https://www.soundcraft.com/en/products/urei-1601

    Something about the device:
There is a DSP board with buffers, ADC/DAC and BLACKfin processor.
There is Control Surface board with control voltage (CV) pots and faders, ADC for CV, some buffer stages (there is the one for MASTER OUTPUT on NE5532).
Two I/O boards but they don't play any role in the problem.

I'm a new guy on the forum so don't hesitate to comment on how poor/good is the info I provide, please be forgiving or something

This should help. Do the VU leds indicate anything? Do you have booth out?

Geeez, how did you get it? Nevermind. No VU, don't show anything, no signal on booth out. I'm getting my hands on it with the schematics. Thank you very much!

R_J, you have some really nice stuff.
I found out that DAC (IC4 on DSP) does not give output. All the voltages around IC4 are exactly the same as around IC5 and IC6 which are working fine, IC4 gets the same data on inputs, so that's why I think it's a DAC failure. I'm almost sure..

Thanks R_J. I'm trying to find schematics for urei 1601S last 10 years!

I'm having an issue with my UREI 1601 and I can't decide where to start looking. It has this clicking noise on all outputs (master, booth, cue).
And inputs too (it's outputting the click on the inputs jacks too)

                Has anybody experienced this before?

Sony HCD-HX80R Amplifier Volume Control Problem
                  by crackedprint
I have a strange fault on a Sony amplifier. The volume control varies the display from MIN, then 1 up to 30 and then MAX as expected. At MIN there is no sound. However, at 1 it is quite loud and increasing above 1 does not change the sound level.

I have tried a Cold Reset as per the service manual.

I have looked at the I2C clock and data to volume control chip IC501 (BD3499FV). Data is only sent to IC501 when the volume is set to MIN or 1. At any other setting no data is sent to IC501.

I have looked all the way through the service manual and tried many online...

                  by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
                  1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                  2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
                  3. Problem: TV shuts down

                  i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...

                  Lenovo T580 - LCD Panel problem - error 0288
                  by perzyk23
                  Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise....
