    Yamaha RX S600- no sound

    I got yAMAHA RS S600 for repair, the problem is it have no sound in dsp mode in direct mode i am geting sound, but when i am playing file from usb i am not geting sound in even direct mode also, so i open and investigate where is the problem, i checked the dac chip when i am touching on DAC chip(PCM1681) i am geting distorted sound, then i checked digital input pins with multimeter which i put in frequency measurement mode, i checked the following pins LRCK, BCK DOUT,,

    LRCK-44.1KHZ measured
    DATA1(pin no -6) alsmost 88.1 khz
    BCK and SCK no reading may be its out of range i dont know what would be the frequency on it,

    then i shorted BCK to ground using a jumber wire for few seconds , after short clear sound but its last long only few seconds , i try this 2 3 times , also i found that when i am touching the ic sound again going ,

    is it problem with this DAC ic or any filter capacitor

      any one can helpme ? also i found just now when i am touching the pcm1681 i am geting distorted audio also sometimes clear sound for few seconds , i did resolder this ic but no change

                          Yamaha RX V675 sound issues

                          I have an old Yamaha RX V675 receiver which is starting to develop issues with the sound, although it doesn't quite match up with what folk normally report with these.

                          From cold, the sound cuts in and out. When this happens the amp is losing sync with the optical input (speaker graphic disappears from the front panel). But this is not resolved by putting the unit into pure direct mode. After a couple of minutes this resolves, although there are occasional clicks from the speakers after that.

                          At first I thought it was either a speaker relay or the DSP, but I don't think...

                          Hi.
                          I have an old YAMAHA CLP-550 without sound. (Some times I can get some kind of noise or distorted sound)
                          I have replaced all green marked elements, but it gave me nothing.
                          The IC12 chip LC9116A-105 (red marked) remains under suspicion yet.

                          But it is custom YAMAHA's chip, and I can't find any information about it.
                          Maybe somebody came across with the same issue?
                          Any information will be very useful. I will be very appreciated.

                          so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

                          i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

                          Hello Guys,

                          Greetings!

                          Hope you all are doing well.

                          I am looking for suggestion on Yamaha 2064. The problem with this receiver is that it has no sound however when the test tones are activated it does outputs from all the speakers. It is working in two channel stereo mode but when you select other sound modes, it doesn't. The last time it had a problem, I had replaced the DAC
                          PCM1681DBQR - IC263 and it worked fine.

                          Other issue with it is one of the STK ICs is getting more heated then the other one but that can be looked at later.

                          Hi all, I've started this new thread in order to avoid further polution of thread "Yamaha RX-A3010 working, no sound output"
                          Just to recap:

                          No sound through Audio and AV analogue inputs, only sound when 2ch stereo or pure direct is activated (so no sound when I e.g. choose 7ch of Hall in Munich etc.). Hoever when I connect HDMI I've sound in all options (movie, music, eyc.) First suspicion was the DSP chip/PCB so I bought a scrap 1030 with a good functioning PCB (in this one a driver stage was defective (PRT DC: 67), after I swapped the PCB I've performed a factory...
