    Part needed for Onkyo amp

I have an amp that when powered up, comes up with "Check SP wire" then shuts down. I found a shorted output transistor on the heat sink. Its has TTA0001 printed on it. This part is obsolete according to mouser and digikey. Does anyone know of a replacement part or where I can find these parts.
    thanks

First of all, you'll want to replace its TTC0001 "partner" on that channel, as well, "just in case".

Second, some OnSemi transistors should be a close-enough match, i think. In the same case size, the MJW3281A / MJW1302A should fit the bill.

They should be easily available from the "usual suspects" (Farnell/element14, Digikey, <insert-your-favourite-supplier-here> etc).

That being said though, it may be well worth checking things further upstream as well (driver transistors), to try to make sure you don't directly blow the replacements.

The Toshiba TTA0001 power transistor is still in production, but their semi's are awful to find. Digikey and Mouser have 500pc min. buys for the part.
2SA1943N is the closest sub I could find.

Not to mention the amount of Toshiba fakes floating around...

tech2014, you don't need to find exact.
You only need to find similar Vcb, Vce, Veb and Pc.
2SA1962 and 2SC5242 work just fine for you.

Check some of my posts with Onkyos. I mention there, what kind of transistors I'm using.
Definitely check all the parts, on the pre-amp board(vertical board) and everything on the main board, around the final transistors and vertical board.
I guaranty, that you will find, at least 4-8 bad components.
It would help, if you would mention in the title, which Onkyo do you have.
