Re: Yamaha RX-V*7* series protection circuits
You need service manual to check protection history to see what caused protection circuit kicked in, then go from there. If you get DC, then go check main AMP transistors for short.
Normally, DC Protection signal trace should be 3.3V. If it goes low or higher than that, then protection circuit kicks in to protect whole unit.

Re: Rotel RMB-1075 blows left front fuse
Correct me if I'm wrong.
By reading service manual, you should check Q210 to Q217 since F401/402 are for this channel because of K11A.Last edited by ngvuanh; 06-22-2016, 11:11 PM.

Re: Marantz NR1501 HDMI Board CHK CPU Error
Use hot air station/gun would be the best option. However, before using hot air, make sure to use soldering iron to "soften" solder joins....

transistors, resistors are also blown, not just caps.

Re: Part needed for Onkyo amp
tech2014, you don't need to find exact.
You only need to find similar Vcb, Vce, Veb and Pc.
2SA1962 and 2SC5242 work just fine for you.

Re: Pioneer VSX-1022-k No audio
First, you need to both digital and analog inputs and tracing them down. Use a sine generator at 1 kHz so it make easier for you to work out. I only have 2 MHz portable scope but it helps me a lot.Last edited by ngvuanh; 05-27-2016, 08:53 PM.

Re: Pioneer VSX-D812 Dead
Yes, AC RY is for AC relay.
Since you have no volt on S505, you need to check volt on pin 22 of IC401 or its power supply, VDD, L401 and D401.
If you have no voltage on S505, you can't turn unit on.Last edited by ngvuanh; 04-21-2016, 08:57 PM.

Re: Pioneer VSX-D812 Dead
Check "AC RY" and "AC WUP" signals.
You should also check voltage on power switch S505 to see if there is +2.4vLast edited by ngvuanh; 04-21-2016, 10:42 AM.

Re: onkyo tx-sr706 hdmi board
Are you sure hdmi board you bought is a good working one?
Since you had good audio on old hdmi board, which means the rest of other boards are good for audio.
If you replace another good hdmi board, you should also have a good audio....Last edited by ngvuanh; 04-09-2016, 10:53 PM.

Re: onkyo tx-sr706 hdmi board
If you have no video on pass thru, you need to check Q8162, Q8501 and Q8401.
Q8162 and Q8501 are multiplexer (input selector switch) and Q8401 is output for HDMI ports.
Since you don't have scope, let check power supply for each chip first, then clock and data.

Try HDMI pass thru option to see if you have video and we will go from there.

Re: onkyo tx-sr706 hdmi board
This one is really tough for you. You might think about getting a portable oscilloscope.
I got one from amazon about $110. It is only 2 MHz but helped me to fix audio issue (only pure direct working) on one of my receivers.
Just search for sainsmart.
How about sound from analog inputs like CD or tuner?
Do you get on screen menu?Last edited by ngvuanh; 04-01-2016, 10:28 AM.

Re: Changing voltages.
A computer running slow doesn't mean it has voltages problem. There are a lot more factors causing a computer slowing down.
Electronically, all semi components have marginal working voltages, so if all supply voltages stay within range, it should be fine.
Let get another hard drive, do a fresh Windows install and compare to current one to see if it make any difference.Last edited by ngvuanh; 03-31-2016, 02:23 PM.
