    Re: Sony Diode St02d-140

For diode is dead I mean after test using the diode test on multimeter, test have failed testing both directions so sounds like shorted.

On my power supply the visible problem was in an leaked capacitor of Elite 420 V 120 uf 105 degrees.

The main problem is this power supply from HP 8000 elite SFF (never more I will will purchase anything from HP) can not be replaced by a generic power supply, the mother board request data contained in a CI inside of this power supply, so the only option for me is make this old power supply of 240 Watts back to work again.

Testing component by component there some resistors shorted also.

The only diode failed in test is the one of this post T2D98 with an underline on number 8 and green label.

I will trade all capacitors already have an list on mouser.com, but for this diode I don`t know which one would be purchased to replace it.

I cant edit my previous message dont know why.

Whatever, searching on mouser.com seems they only have one model of diode in stock.

Studying a bit reading the specifications from others, my guess this one should be what I need:

      https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...ba8f271cbe.pdf

The guess is based on the power supply be auto volt, accepting 110V or 220V, have not found diode for 220V.

The one they have in stock is for 80V, and have not found an filter by colors, should be safe use what they have in stock?
Or i need look in another place for ST02D-200?
Or this does not matter for auto-volt power supply?

Finally! The document I was looking for: Shindengen Semiconductor Short Form Catalog (F072-6). Color marking is specified in this document, power clampers section. I don't know why it's been so hard to find.

Sony XBR-65X850E power supply board diode replacement
          by Tnmg
I have a Sony XBR-65X850E that when plugged in buzzes for a few seconds about 5-7 times but the screen never comes on. It looks like one of the four diodes on the main power supply board are bad. I'd like to replace all four at the same time. The diodes that are bad are the D750, D751, D752 and D753. The S750 looks discolored and fails the diode test on the board. It hasn't been removed from the board yet for testing.

Are all four of these the same diode? I saw a video that called the discolored one a Schottky 5150 diode. How can I make sure to get the right diodes for these?...

iMac power supply short-circuit diode to ground
          by pcardoso73
          Hi,
I have an iMac with the power supply reference: ADP-200DFB.

This power supply is not working and when trying to debug the problem with a multimeter, I found what I thought to be a short circuited diode (the short-circuit is to ground).

With the continuity test it beeps both ways, so doesn't block current flow at all then reverse biased. But after removing the diode the beep continues and the diode seems healthy. It seems to exist a real short-circuit.

As I have another ADP-200DFB power supply (faulty one as well), I have checked the same...

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died
          by tvguy12012012120
This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Sony HCD BX7700dbi CMT flashing standby
          by rabbituk
I have got a Sony HCD-BX7700dbi that isn't worth a lot but I'm keen to learn how to repair and would appreciate some help with my train of thought. The protection circuit is kicking in and the standby light is blinking. It goes into protection mode within a second of powering it on.

So far the relay on the power board that enables the main transformer clicks on and then off when powering on the unit. Looking at the schematics, the permanently enabled power rail called 'unreg sub' provides about 13.5VDC. Where the power comes into the main board on connector CN303, there is a diode...
