    pinout for motherboard audio jacks

hey guys I need a hand I am working on a project but have a minor problem the board I picked up to use is considered headerless and has no rear audio jacks however the pads are there for it I am hoping someone can provide me with the pinouts for ither the front panel ports or the standard read connector pads so that i can simple solder in my lines for audio out and line in.

    Thanks,

I don't know the pinout, but also make sure there's actually a signal connected to those pads. There might be other parts missing besides just the connector.

From what I can find out the version I have will work if you solder in a set of jacks from another motherboard however i want to solder the wires straight in as it will be in a very small housing and the jacks will take up to much room I just don't have a old set of jacks to get the pinout from.

      Thanks again

The board seems an Ecs P6STP-FN: according to a Tom's hardware post, Ecs built two versions, one full featured and the second without connectors and bundled with an IR keyboard. Which is yours?

Sorry, I think you're out of luck: the whole process isn't straightforward. The guy owning the stripped down model soldered the audio jack and figured out audio pinouts by trial and error. He got sound jumpering pins 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8 on J7.
I think a PCI sound card (even a cheap Sound Blaster PCI128 if you don't care much about Creative drivers) is a better option.

Re: pinout for motherboard audio jacks

basicly I just need the pinouts for a standard rear connector as I can't use a external sound card the board is going in an extremely tight space barly room for the board and fan there is no room for a external soundcard I was hoping some one just happen to have the pinout for standard rear audio connectors that are on the rear panel of a motherboard as i hate the trial and error method

Thanks again guess I am off to trial and error

Why not get an USB sound card, they sit outside the case, so no problem with space, and they are quite cheap

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
                    by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Guide to transplant MEC1503 EC chip and EEPROM reprogamming for T14s gen 2 and X13 gen 2
                    by acedogblast
This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.

There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as...

Is there a Samsung UE48H6270 motherboard schematic? I can't find the datasheet for the NPT7414 audio integrated circuit. There is no sound.

A2141 No audio on speakers, yes audio on headphone jacks.
                    by abajor
I just can't escape Apples most CURSED laptop the dreaded A2141.

Can't find any info on this speaker problem. I've been digging through the schematics and found there's a separate chip U6300 to drive the headphone jack.
It appears all of the audio signal is transmitted using i2S. It's pretty wild that the internal speakers have 3 amplifiers each. I'm assuming whatever provides the clock or routes the signal to the speaker amps has an issue?
U3900 is as far as I've gotten in my exploration.

Anybody know this issue? Is it fixable? U3900 looks like something...

Asus ROG Strix Scar G533qm with a G733qm Motherboard, can I modify the Bios to accept G533 Bios
                    by glovecaps
                    Hello,

I have a Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 (G533QM) that had a dead motherboard (Graphics card dead) and after trying to fix the motherboard with no success, I bit the bullet on a sale for a new motherboard. I ordered a motherboard for the 15 inch model which is the one that I have, and when the motherboard arrived it wasn't for a little while that I saw it was from the 17 inch model.

My question is, can I update the Bios on this G733 motherboard to a G533 Bios.

The reason for wanting to do this is that the keyboard isn't working as it should, and I think this...
