Check again d901 in diode mode for short (I do not remember by heart the internal schematics of the bridge rectifiers, so I test each pin to each other pins, then switch the probes and again).
You can use IPA to find the hot component(s) - drop IPA on the component and see how fast evaporates.
Thermal print labels also can be used - cover area with a label and see where it will get black.

This power rail doesn't have too many common points to ground - q502, d516, q501, q434+q436... all other possible paths include too many components that have to be shorted. So try injecting voltage again and check that components if they are getting hot.

Samsung UE49KS7000SXXH - fast clicking sound in standby mode

      PSU - BN44-00878A

      Symptoms:

The TV turned itself off, and I haven't been able to turn it back on. The standby voltage was unstable and lower than it should be.
A weak clicking sound was coming from the transformer.

      Video with clicking sound:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAduhjNtqCA

      Progress:

After the transformer, I measured four Schottky diodes. DM862C and DM864C diodes readings were 003 in both directions. After detaching them from the circuit and measuring them, DM864C was the shorted one. These Schottky diodes are SB550.I...

[SOLVED] M1 MacBook Pro clicking sound logic board 5V no power on A2338 820-02020
      by slimmy182
Hello, I bought this Mac from a friend, he said that it simply stop working. The MacBook looks very clean but does not power on, stuck on 5v 0.42A, and sometimes display 5V and 0A (then 0.071A and again 0A).

I opened it looking for some problem, it was not touched before for sure and the board is very clena, no spot of corrosion at all from what I can see. Voltage on multimeter of the board off the case it's the same, 5V 0.42A. But then I noticed this "clicking sound" come from the board ( I attached here the audio file).

Looking on google I found this:...

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Vizio VO47L FDHTV30A Picture but no speaker audio, clicking sound
      by nbnb
I have a Vizio VO47L FDHTV30A. The picture works well, but the sound only works through the RCA output jacks. The sound does not work through the internal speakers or the headphone jack. The TV has a rapid clicking sound when the tv is on that occurs about 4 times per second. The clicking sound volume is fairly low and is not affected by adjusting the internal speaker volume level. The clicking occurs whether or not I disable the internal speaker through the Vizio setup menu. The clicking only occurs while the TV is on.

Any idea what is causing the clicking sound? Any easy way to...
