Voice recorder for blind persons Milestone 311 - Whistle in the speaker

Hello, I have 2 voice recorder to repair. Same issue : whistle in the speaker, but the sound is good with the headphones (via jack audio plug).
Built in year 2000, I guess that could be the (yellows) capacitors ? What do you thing about that please ?

    (I found the specs : tantalum-polymer capacitors 100uF 10v 10%.)

I think that problem is different. Check the speaker itself and then follow the traces.

Yes I just saw that on picture : lower left under the card socket seems could be a solder bridge with wire, but it’s only flux and dust because I desoldered the card socket (plastic stuck inside).
I need to check one speaker state because it make a bad noise but I have 2 devices, twice make the same Whistle and it is electronic : I heard it in speakers and headphones (I restested, sorry). It is permanent, it is present in audio menus for navigate, when reading mp3 files, etc. This whistle in constant when I turn the volume up and down.
But the whistle frequency variate a little when the devices goes on : the frequency could up to x2.

With 25 years old, I guess that could be capacitor. But I wouldn't want to discriminate against a component community. I will remove (desolder) the speaker for test…

There is a whistling sound during playback and menu functions. It doesn’t change with the volume and stays constant? It does sound good through the headphones but not through the speakers?

could be a cap- does it use any buck or boost type power circuits?

Yes but we can forget the speaker now, I desoldered it (2 wires) for 2 devices, and the same. Same whistle in the headphones. The whistle frequency change a little when I push on buttons.
These devices are too small and simple to have ground issues, I assume the problem is more likely a frequency filtering component that has changed its value. Because both devices have the same problem and are the same age: 25 years.
I could try to replace yellows tentalum capacitors by black ones (if I have) ? Or better ones ?

DVR recorder Switching power supply Failure
                by sam_sam_sam
When I originally started with my DVR recorder it had 4 individual switching switching power supply’s that were sh*t so I bought a 7 amp 12 volt switching power supply and modified the output plug and put a four output power supply cable to match the input power supply cable inputs

Which worked for over 14 years until a few days ago when the cameras went dark no picture anymore well it turns out now the switching power supply has stopped working altogether now so I have to troubleshoot what has happened to this power supply more later on today what I found

                This...

Panasonic DMR-EZ48V DVD/VHS combo - DVD recorder part not working
                by Ady2017
I have recently inherited a Panasonic DMR-EZ48V DVD/VHS combo after my dad died. I tried to record a DVD with it and it worked for about 5 mins before it suddenly stopped. Since then it just keeps making a noise like it is trying to read a disk but then gives a 'no read' error message. I have tried numerous DVD's and it is definitely the recorder that is the problem. I did find a youtube video showing that capacitors on the power board were a common problem on these and so I went ahead and replaced the capacitors but it is still doing the same thing. I now think that it could be the laser that...

DVR camera recorder switching power supply capacitor failure really
                by sam_sam_sam
These cheap non brand capacitors at it again

Last night we had a power outage [ long drawn out trying three to come back up before going out completely ] and when I went to turn the DVR camera recorder back today no go 3 bad capacitors ( one capacitor no ESR reading on DVR board the other 3 capacitor on the power supply board over 40 ohm this is not a misprint ) on the external switching power supply and one capacitor on the DVR camera recorder board where the power supply that goes to the hard drive disk is

Well at least I have the cameras back on line I to try the...

Is it possible to have an aux input in place of the radio on the am band range? When connecting to the tape recorder, I have additional tape noise. There is an integrated circuit HA11251 in the schematic. Which pin is the am radio output on?
