I have a VSX-D2011. Hard switch turns on the standby LED for just a couple of seconds. Sometimes longer about 2 minutes. During those time that the standby light is on I can switch on the receiver with all displays normal and relays click normally. Did diagnostics as per SM and everything passed, and suddenly turns itself off again. have to wait couple of minutes before I can get a standby light again. Suspected capacitor. Any suggestion where to look first? Primary Board? Regulator Board? or Controller. Thanks

check the standby power supply, cn2004 pin 3 should have +5.6 voltsAttached FilesLast edited by R_J; 08-29-2014, 07:47 PM.Comment

Re: Pioneer VSX-D2011 won't turn on
Thanks for the reply RJ. I already tested all possible points where the ST+ 5.6 volts is present and they appear to be ok. All the way to the display IC3000 where the standby LED is connected to Pin 41. I was able to measure 4.98V at pin 16 as well.Comment

Re: Pioneer VSX-D2011 won't turn on
You could have a cold solder joint or other poor connections somewhere, when the amp is working try poking and taping around with a insulated stick, sometimes larger connections such as regulator ic's and interconnecting plug connections give poor connections. other than that I don't know what to tell you.Comment

Re: Pioneer VSX-D2011 won't turn on
Correct me if I'm wrong, I have an understanding that the standby voltage is pre-regulator stage.that is why at this point I'm ruling out the Regulator Stage. Na 5.6V is present to all IC's VCC as well so a cold solder may be unlikely. Tried tapping it anyway but it didn't help. Thanks.Comment

Re: Pioneer VSX-D2011 won't turn on
The standby circuit has its own regulator ic2001 that supplies ST+5.6v
Does the main power supply stay turned on when the amp quits? (+- 15, +-24 +- 5.6 etc)
Is the manual I uploaded the correct one?
If the main power supply stays on then it is still getting the (ac ry) signal from the cpuComment

Re: Pioneer VSX-D2011 won't turn on
Little bit of a bump of an old topic.
But i have an pioneer vsx d2011, which has a similar problem.
Receiver turns on, and then would randomly go on a 'reboot' tour. This happens random.
RJ, would you upload the schematic again? It won't open, and i think that i might find a workaround in there! All help is very appreciated!Comment

by PNI E.Hi guys, I’m back here my friend give me her tv, that doesn’t turn on and no standby red led. When u plug in the cord the red led of one two second is on, then turn off. If you push the power button or the remote the red led blinks but nothing happen. I give u some photo with voltage, don’t look the fuse….because I blow it for mistake nd I dint have the right replace so I just put it for test the tv. The standby voltage should be 11,88 volt on the diode, but I have 13 volts. I put in the photo the different volts I test and there are someone negative…I don’t know if it s normal. On...

by madsoxGreetings!
Thank you in advance for your understanding, I am writing to you through a translator.
A Harman Kardon AVR171S amplifier was given.
The history of the machine is as follows:
It was faulty when I bought it, I want to fix it.
I replaced the HDMI switch and one of the DAC ICs in it.
After that it worked without a problem.
I watched a movie using the amplifier, and at the end the amplifier got really hot.
The cooling was faulty, I will fix this later.
I switched it to standby mode, waited for...-

by waakyeHi everyone,
I was giving this ASUS ROG G750JM that exhibit the following behavior:
When you press the power button, the computer turns with no image and turn it's off within 7 seconds. The battery charges when I connect the AC power. I tried flashing the bios with the uSB method and pressing Ctrl + Home and I can see the bios upgrade on external monitor.
My issue is the laptop doesn't stay on for a long time and turn itself off.
Any lead on how to resolve this will be appreciated.
I cannot boot in windows and no liquid damage.
Thanks in advance. -
by jacobtcI've owned this C1 from new since late 2021, and it has now suddenly started with the following symptom:
If power has been connected for a while, the red standby lamp turns off, and the tv wont turn on (no reaction from remote or button on tv).
If power has been disconnected for 5 minutes, the tv turns on fine, until turned off and left for a couple minutes, as the standby light will then turn off again.
I've seached and found that this is most likely a failing PSU, and I've seen repair services on eBay fixing these symptoms, so I am hoping that someone here has fixed... -
by gabrielA7Does not turn on, lights 3 of the 4 LEDs and turns off and stays like this, presses the power and repeats.
I saw that the room LED lights up only when the screen is connected, so quiet.
We have all the power supplies, even processor, 1.8V
One thing I found strange, it has a very low resistance in the Vcore is giving 1 Ohm , work with notes and such, I know that this is normal in some processors but with this resistance only take video card so found it strange.
I suspect that there may be some leak in the processor.
Anyway, when I press the power, it... - Loading...
