Firmware file for Marantz NR1501 needed

    Hi all,

I picked up a Marantz NR1501 that the seller said did not produce any audio, but was starting up just like normal. This was indeed the case and the hunt for damaged components started.
After confirming all voltages and replacing all caps on this godforsaken HDMI-board I finally got sound from the AUX input, but all digital inputs are still dead.

The service menu shows no DSP version so I desoldered IC1604 that should have the serial flash DSP firmware on it and made two dumps that turned out identical.
The content of these seems to be useless as far as I can tell and I would like to flash the chip with a proper firmware to see if that fixes the issue, or at least compare what I have to a proper one from a unit that works.

Hoping someone has a firmware file and can share it as I am out of options here and this seems to be the issue 😊

(attaching my two reads if that is of interest for anyone)

    Regards,
    Daniel

Also, replace C1604 if you haven't done it yet.

Thank you soooo much, you are a life saver!
Will flash the IC first thing tomorrow and report back.

C1604 including all other 30 something electrolytic capacitors are replaced.

Flashed the new firmware to IC1604, resoldered it and it works perfect!

Service menu finally shows DSP version and HDMI audio from PS5 works flawless.

Again, a huge thanks for providing the firmware.

dobrykamil could you please reupload the firmware?

I have NR1501 with audio dropouts while ckipping dvd chapters and would like to give it a try.

              Thank you!

Firmware file for LG SK10Y Soundbar stuck in Please wait loop needed
                    by Daniel Larsson
                    Hi,

My LG Soundbar, SK10Y, has somehow ended up in an endless "PLEASE WAIT" loop and I am now starting to suspect that the firmware is causing this, and I can't manage to connect via the app to push a new firmware in as it never really starts.

I can trick it to start via HDMI ARC and it actually starts up, flashes OPTICAL and then goes to ARC where the sound (including sub) is perfect, but the white led indicator keeps blinking and after 20 seconds it says "GOOD BYE" and shuts down.
During these seconds the function button is not working...

Samsung service bulletin: need firmware file for PN63C550 TV
                    by GeckoGreen
                    Hi,

I'm hoping someone with access to the Samsung GSPN can help me. I need someone with access to download a firmware file for my PN63C550 TV, as it will fix a problem per the Samsung service bulletin.

You can reference Samsung bulletin #:ASC20130528001 and I need the [2D63]LOGIC.bin file please.
The full service bulletin is linked here: https://www.avsforum.com/attachments...3-pdf.1080602/

Will you please help me get the [2D63]LOGIC.bin file for my TV?

Notice to users of XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76 programmers regarding BIOS backup file size
                    by m1ch43lzm
                    Hi everyone
I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
                    Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76

Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes
There's also an extra OTP Secu.R...

TV Samsung UE55HU8500L (2014) – service menu + firmware reflashing advice needed
                    by Robby-Gr
                    Hi all,

I’m trying to recover a Samsung UE55HU8500L (curved UHD, 4K model from 2014) after replacing the panel. The new panel is a 55A1UU8EH, which produces excellent image quality — very close to the original.

However, since the swap, the TV enters a boot loop (Samsung logo → restart) unless I enter the service menu and perform a reset.

The service mode had been previously modified — possibly by a technician or during the panel swap — and I suspect some key settings are mismatched for the European (Greece) market.

                    Additional issues:...

Marantz NR1508 USB firmware update image
                    by pp74
Does anyone happen to have the latest firmware for the NR1508? Marantz took their update server down and customer support refuses to provide the image to flash over USB.
