    Replacement diode

I need to replace a diode in my pioneer amp, the original wz157 is no longer available but an equivalent is supposed to be 1N5246. When searching for a new one I can only find a 1N5246B, does this just indicate a different tolerance?
    Thanks

Thanks for that information, I thought that was the case but wanted to be sure before fitting. I'm new to electronics and this forum has been so helpful.
