Marantz NR1601 No Sound, Schematics attached.

Certainly! Here's a revised version of your text:

    ---

I own a Marantz NR1601 receiver, but unfortunately, I'm experiencing an issue with no sound coming from any of the outputs. I'm seeking assistance to identify the most likely cause of the problem.

The unit powers on without any issues and seems to be functioning properly. I've noticed that the relay clicks after about 10 seconds, indicating that it's going through its startup sequence. There are no visible signs of damage, and I don't detect any burnt smells.

While the schematics provided are detailed, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by the complexity of the device and could use some guidance on where to focus my attention.

I must admit, I'm relatively new to troubleshooting Sound equipment, so I'd appreciate it if the explanation could be kept simple. Additionally, I'm having difficulty following the troubleshooting guide for addressing the lack of sound. I'm finding it challenging to understand which parts I should be measuring.

Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help. Click image for larger version

        (2) For ASO (when the last protection incident was ASO protection)
        FLD P R T : A S O
Cause: The line between speaker terminals is shorted, or use speakers having impedance less than that specified.
Supplementary information: As the excess current is detected after operation of the speaker relay, the shorted
speaker terminal and the connected speaker can be identified.
Turning on the power without correcting the abnormality will cause the protection function to work about 5 seconds
later and the power supply will be shut off.

this is what i i have as error.

Yes, speakers I'm using for testing is 8 ohms standard basic. And they working.

I looked through schematics, and considering to disassemble entire front, remove radiator to get access to transistors and diodes.

Can't measure anything thro outputs becoz there are relays between transistors and outputs.

Also this thing is big and everything is cramped inside in a small factor. Annoying device to say the least

              by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Marantz SR5012 popping and other sound issues
              by acedogblast
Hello I have a Marantz SR5012 7.1 AV receiver that is producing speaker pop and other sound issues. These sounds are coming out of all connected speakers regardless if they are configured to be used. The rca preouts are clean from these defects so I am assuming the problem has to be with the amplifier.
These sound issues are random and unpredictable. There are times where the unit can go 10 minutes without any problems then suddenly the problems come back. It doesn't seem to matter if there is sound being played or not.

I have disassembled the unit and was able to take out the...

Dell Latitude 5590 (motherboard: LA-F411P Rev 1.0) No Power (Liquid Damage)
              by zklgfs
              Hi,

I have a Dell Latitude 5590 with motherboard LA-F411P Rev 1.0 that has liquid damage and doesn't turn on anymore when only the charger is plugged in. However, it does turn on when powering it from a battery. I couldn't find schematics for this exact board, but LA-F401P seems to be similar (that post says LA-F411P, but the attached schematics are actually for LA-F401P): https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...oardview-neede...

Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB (Chassis SR) TV Repair Help - Distorted Subwoofer Sound and overall weird sound waveforms
              by LEECH666
              Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

Weird clipping on Logitech Z-10 speakers
              by dreamlayers
I bought used Logitech Z-10 computer speakers. They can act as a USB audio device or accept line input, and they have a headphone output jack. Some music didn't sound right, so I played a frequency sweep and heard other frequencies and beat frequencies between them and the sweep. I uploaded a spectrogram of a frequency sweep. From the very start, some but not all odd harmonics are visible, indicating symmetric distortion. Then at higher frequencies there are descending images of those harmonics, indicating non-linearity and constant higher frequency noise mixing with the harmonics. The image of...
