So, i've been getting this IP-PBX system together for a local company, I already have the whole thing mapped out, i've done this before....ehh...once...before
one thing they require is a outside weather resistant horn. IP Horns are expensive, between $400-$10,000, so i've been thinking using an existent SIP ATA...

that they are using for thier fax machine, and using thier other port for the outside horn
i've been going through all kinds of equipment, and I found a few 'page controllers'...

but I get the impression, I can hook one of thier horns...

to a phone line (ATA) directly
do these horns even hook directly to a phone line? or do you have to have a paging controller. Will ether even work with a SIP ATA? I don't see why not, its still compatible with any normal 'phones'. i've been going through all thier specs and installation manuals and the horns mention using the paging controllers, but i'm not sure its required.
anyone have any experience with these kind of systems?
