I hope this is the right place to post this, feel free to delete or move if not correct.
I have a Realistic Pro 2021 200 channel scanner it's old I bet in the late 80's, it's just like this one in the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7loVEiktnw
No one has done any mods to it. Not my vid.
The problem that I am having is the scanner will work good for two/three days left on all the time, then it will start picking up just noise and static on the local police feq. then if I turn it off and leave it off overnight it will work fine again static free for two to three days.. The static is very annoying dozens and dozens of times an hour.
To me it sounds like a cold solder joint, but that problem would happen much sooner then two/three days. It should heat up in an hour or so. I am stumped.. If it was interface, that would be all the time?
