Could someone advise whether Microwave Oven Inverter boards are interchangeable. They have a supply voltage which is the same with all microwave ovens and control voltage, then the output. I have only seen Panasonic Magnetrons used.

Re: Microwave Inverter Boards
Thanks for your reply stj, isn't the current determined by the control voltage? The inverters, well most of them look alike. But I understand what you are saying, I guess Panasonic themselves wouldn't have differing part numbers if they were iinterchangeable. I might do some experimenting, but for this particular job I will order the original, as you say it's not a risk worth talking.Comment

Re: Microwave Inverter Boards
You'd have to match the magnetron power, you can't pump 1,000W into an 800W tube. The filament voltage, anode voltage and current are close within a family but critical differences. Example: some are 4kV or 4.4kV but that can mean 600W or 1000W. Check your magnetron datasheets:

http://industrial.panasonic.com/ww/p...ons/magnetrons
I've seen Panasonic inverter microwaves use 2M236 and a teardown and older schematic shows 4kV 300mA design output with no O/P feedback:

by ugamazingI have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!
We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre... -
by ugamazingWe've now created a stack of 10 boards that have the same issue, which we suspect to be CPU-related. The issue is very simple--the board will not boot to anything, only showing the exclamatory sign inside a circle. No amount of DFU/restore, wipe/erase, etc, will resolve the issue. No boards have physical damage. We went ahead and replaced the SSD nands on two boards (one 02020, one 02016) and the issue remained exactly the same. We are considering replacing the CPU on one of the boards using a locked CPU, just so we can see if it resolves the issue.
Has anyone else run into this... -
by x_orange90_xI just got this tv today and it appeared to have no backlight on. After taking off the rear cover and checking again in the dark I can see that MAYBE one quadrant is lit.. But still it's quite dim. I was going to check the LEDs with my tester, and I found LED 1 and LED 2 + pins on the wire from the inverter, but I couldn't identify a ground. Nonetheless I tried using a mounting screw on the inverter board and also the chassis as ground but regardless my tester reads 300 which is what it reads when there is no voltage draw.
I don't know how exactly to test the inverter itself. Is it... -
by Mad_ScienceI have a older eddy current tester made by Olympus that uses interchangeable TFT-LCD screens. I have two devices that each take the same removable screens. One is an Olympus NORTEC 200D+ and the other is an Olympus SONIC 1200M EMI. I have searched the internet high and low for service manuals for these units with no luck. Both these units were used extensively by the US military for NDT on airplanes. The detachable screen plugs into the base unit via a weird non standard VGA connector. Buttons on the removable display are used to power the units on. When the power button is pressed the unit makes...

by lostoneHello, I came here after finding some similar questions asked on other monitors and hope someone here can help me get an ancient Viewsonic VP230mp (23" 4:3 LCD) back to working condition.
First a little background, I have a background in computer and electrical engineering, and I'm smart enough to know I know nothing about LCD displays and how they work. For this topic I'm as green as they come.
When the display is turned on the viewsonic logo displays in the uppper left for 2 seconds then the screen goes black, the power LED is green (on) and when a computer is connected...-
