SMEG induction cooker error EA on both left hand side cooktops

    Hi all,

I have a SMEG cooktop with a EGO 72.08041.002 power board. The two left hand side cooktops started to slowly fail, sometimes stopping with an EA error (Power board failure according to the manual) after a couple minutes boiling some water and eventually they completely failed and now get an EA error on both of them at all times. Visual inspection of the board went over ok, I checked the IGBT's and rectifiers and they seem fine, what should I look at next as this is the first time I'm fixing an induction cooker, I'm suspecting capacitors in this case, Which ones should I look at? Is there any way I can check them in circuit?

    Thank you in advance,

    A bit of an update:

I forgot to mention that those 2 input fuses also measure ok, no indications of a short anywhere. I also desoldered and measured both of the large film caps next to the fuses and they measure good with a multimeter right around their rated 4.7uf.
I also just noticed those 2 white relays which connect the respective live wires, could one of them for some reason not be triggering or maybe damaged? Would it damage the transistor that triggers them If it feed 12v into their coils to test them?

Hi. Have you been able to solve the issue?
I have the same exact problem with my SMEG Induction cooker.

      Thank you.

Help with parkside induction cooker controller IC.
        by tibd
        Hello.
I am troubleshooting a parkside induction cooker. The bord had a microcontroller ic with marking IH001 (dip24) which i think is faulty. Any ideas what this IC is, to purchase internationally? Otherwise there is a VIPer12a which seems working fine. No other defective components were found.
        Best regards.

LG 82UN8570AUD ~ TCON or PANEL?
        by kca
        Hello all ~

Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.

When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.

I got the display to work by taping off several traces of the right-hand side ribbon cable on the TCON that leads from TCON to PANEL. However, despite dozens and dozens of attempts to find the right combination / range of traces taped...

BENQ GC2870 Floodlight effect from left hand edge of screen
        by Briesmith
I have attached an image of the screen showing the problem which is that I see a sort of floodlight effect shining on the screen from the upper top left edge. I think the image shows the defect better than I could describe it but I would be happy to add any further detail if that would help anyone trying to help me.

If you have seen this problem before or just know what it is from experience/knowledge etc I would be very grateful if you could pass on whatever it is I can do to fix it.

        Many thanks

        Induction hob issue
        by _ASH_
Hi Guy's, I currently have a Beko induction hob (Model: HII64201MT) and the right hand side dosn't detect the pans.

The left side works perfectly, but when I put the pans on the right side, the digital display displays U and I don't hear any clicking (like it's trying to detect the pans)

Can anyone advise me on this & to what parts I will need to repair?

        Many thanks in advance

        Vizio M60-C3 Left Edge problem
        by Pinky Deepak
I have a M60-C3 where the left edge has started showing issues as seen in the picture attached. Along with this, I also noticed some darkening on the left half of the screen which went away after I left the TV unplugged. i initially thought it was the led backlight that was wearing out but looks like something to do w the TCONN board. I searched this forum but couldn't find anyone else seeing this issue. most of them were LH/RH completely gone. any insights or guidance is appreciated.

Here's a video of both the issues: https://youtu.be/hMqc760nB3o
