    Is that real FDMF6823A?

    Fairchild DrMOS.

    Left one came in from China, right one is removed from a board. Left one has almost invisble engarving looking from the top, iso does not help and you can see "shadows" of bottom pad structure on top.

    Is it likely this is an original part?

    I have only two sets of samples to compare but looks like it could have top layer removed and got relabelled. Resistances check ok.

      Put some acetone on a cotton swap and rub the surface: if it is painted the paint will go away...
      And yes, it looks 100% fake...

          Hi to all,
          the owner of this machine gave it to me after having opened it to take off the dust from the inside, telling me that after that it didn't start anymore.
          I found that one of the DrMOS (AOZ5016QI) on the CPUCORE was shorted between VIN and VSWH, and that one of the two n-mos connected to the power jack was shorted aswell.
          I unsoldered the two shorted components and verified that there were no other short circuits, then decided to power the mainboard, firstly with the lab power supply, then with its original HP 200w charger, but the behaviour is the same, the board starts...

          Hi there!
          My friend wants me to help him repair his old-real-vintage strong-hammer machine. Well it's only 90% real as the force applied doesn't lift the weight itself but it is measured and it moves a motor that lifts the weight

          I am attaching several pictures of the machine.
          It basically has 2 sides, left side has
          • 2 x 220->12+24v transformers
          • 2 relays (1 moves motor UP, other moves motor DOWN)
          • IGF and breakers for safety
          Right side is shown on pictures. It has 3 boards ( top-down)
          • Logic board. Receives 24AC and recitifies it into DC. Contains a uC (M80C85)

          Hello,

          I know some might say... just buy another one. Sell it as parts..!

          So had this AMP for quite some time. Recently I saw light smoke coming out of the AMP. Had my fire extinguisher close by. Just kidding. Turned immediately all devices off from mains.
          Let things cool a bit, and opened up the amp device. I clearly saw on the main board which hosts the 5X amp (5.1), 3 10 ohms 1W resistors had their leads looking black, while the rest of the remaining 2 x 10 ohms were brownish as being installed from factory.

          Spent some time downloading the Service...

          Hi,

          I have a this A2141 and a weird issue on the left side USB ports.

          Only the bottom port of the left side works fine, the top port only works when the USB is inserted one way, it does not work when flipped.

          I have tried 3 replacement USB ports and multiple cables, same issue with all.

          Some small corrosion was visible on the board but I have changed the capacitor (C9532) where this was with no change to the port.

          Anyone got any ideas what I need to check/replace on the board?

          Hi,

          I have a ThinkBook 14 G2 ITL FLV34 LA-K051P and the left side USB A port (not on the daughter board) does not show any sign of life.

          I have checked BIOS settings, ensuring the port is enabled and switching 'always on USB' between enabled and disabled.
          Windows 11 is fully updated with all drivers, checked with Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update but the port just does not work.

          If I plug an LED USB in the right side USB A port that works fine, LED lights as soon as the device turns on but nothing at all on the left USB A port.
          There is no damage...
