Can I store in a cellar?

just want to be careful and don't wanna cause some inconveniences to my new setup:

Can I store power supplies in my cellar? I know the humidity is low in there, but any other effects?

    thanks

i would say it depends on the cellar. I know mine has a bit of humidity so i would not in mine, but some have as much as the rest of the house. if that is the case, then i would see no problem. If you want to make extra sure, you could always put thing in an airtight bag like a ziplock bag to make sure that no humidity build up on them.

Do you have any ventilation down there? As long as you have some good sealed windows, and a good sealed wall and floors, I say you should be fine. Just look for any nails or screws down there and see if they are rusting badly. That is a good basic way of seeing moisture damage. If it is cool and dry, would be a great storage place.

Watch out for humidity. It get rather humid down there, if you can smell mold or sticky feeling in there, do not store computer parts there. They like dry locations.

are you sure you it is rodent free? we thought the only rodents in our hose were my pet rats, until yesterday, when we found a dead mouse in the 1-car basement garage. and wild rodents LOVE to chew wires. ask pentium, iirc he once had a bad mouse problem which led to a bunch of messed-up cat5 wires.

            Egg incubator humidity sensor replacement
            by unimatrix93
            Hello everyone,

My egg incubator humidity sensor kicked the bucket, I read open circuit on it with DMM even in the MOhm range.

So I started identifying this piece of crap and look for a replacement part.

This thing has 6 turns or black lines, while the one I found similar has more turns and has 33kOhm.
Based on the number of black lines, this one looks like the 23kOhm version of this thing, but I cannot find anything with this value on the local distributors.

I assume the 33kOhm wont work?
            What do you guys recommend?...

            Flux causing high resistance short?
            by evilkitty
Now that my de-soldering gun is working i was able to remove this panel i made about a week before i noticed a issue the F segment of digits 2 and 3 would go out, digit 2 would go before digit 3, but would come back after the humidity got down from running the ac (note the weather outside is 30.5 / 74%; panel data is from a BME280)

Temp is on the left humidity is on the right

i noticed when the humidity got up one or 2 of the center digits on the right panel would loose a segment

The pin out looking down from the top is (note this is common cathode)...

            Wine Enthusiast 170 Bottle N'Finity Wine Cellar Model # 273 02 70
            by magik20
            Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone might be able to offer some guidance on repairing a Wine Enthusiast N'finity 170 bottle wine cellar, model 273 02 70.

I recently acquired this unit for free via Facebook Marketplace, hoping to fix it up as a gift for my wife. I have some basic electronic skills (comfortable with a multimeter, basic soldering, identifying components) but I'm definitely not an advanced technician.

The main challenge is that when I picked up the unit, the main control/power board had already been removed and the previous owner said it needs a...

Repairing a Music Store Professional GO! SUB 18A
            by h0m3w0rk
            Hello everyone,

I'm working on repairing a Music Store Professional GO! SUB 18A bass subwoofer, and I need some help troubleshooting an issue with the power amplifier board. The board uses an IR2153 driver and originally had two SLW20N50C MOSFETs. Unfortunately, these MOSFETs burned out. I replaced them with two TK20J60W MOSFETs; however, these also failed almost immediately.

            Here are some details:
            • SLW20N50C (original):
              • Rated for 500 V
              • Typical RDS(ON): 0.21 Ω
              • Continuous Drain Current: 20 A at 25°C (13 A at 100°C)
              • Pulsed Drain Current: 80 A
              • Avalanche

            Auriol weather station humidity sensor
            by otoluk
I have two Lidl LD6273 Auriol units with DCF77 radio for time update.
I really like the idea but the cheap moisture sensor(guess HR202L) inaccuracies make the device unreliable. Also not clear why indoor and outdoor unit sensors being same type doesn't match. For example I place both units on same table and indoor unit shows 23% humidity while outdoor sensor shows 39%. What I found out is that I get better readings if cleaning the solder points of sensor inside with isopropyl alcohol.
Looking for replacement sensor which I could solder in place of HR202L resistive sensor but need...
