Re: Logitech G29 Help request to find smd transistor reference.

Heh I folded like a cheap suit and purchased a replacement Mobo for my wheel :P
I wasn't 100% confident even if I found the right part that I could replace it.. the part is damn small lol
Even tho I now have a working wheel I'll keep an eye on this page just just incase someone confirms the ic and has replaced it successfully.

Thank you for the help, I appreciate it.

Well I have the same issue, tried replacing u8 with a BAW 56s, and no go. U8 is for shifter Protection, and U9 for pedals. My U9 was good so swapped it to U8 to insure they are identical and they are. Pedals now not working where as Shifter does not. Initial U8 was blown and causing a CC to ground, and the wheele was in boot loop. Removing it allowed it to be detected by Windows, but withough shifter functionality. Pins 2 and 5 share a trace to ground, 1,3,4,6 got to the shifter connector and to the STM 32 logic pins PB3,4,5,6 passing through some filtering caps and resistors on the way. I too believe it is some ESD array, but not sure on configuration. Any help would be appreciated.

Diode marked as "E57".........not able to find it by reference
        by Francesc V.
        Hi:

I have what it might seem a zener diode. It's marked as E57, but I haven't found any reference that might match my observations.

I've took one from the same circuit and tested isolated with the power supply and a 1k resistor. with 10V, the possible zener stays at 6.6V.

        It seems a SOD123 package. It measures (2.6mm x 1.6 mm).

        Any idea? it's a 6.6V zener?

EVGA 500 watt with fan twitch
        by everell
This is an EVGA 500 watt Model 100-W1-0500. On power up only has a small fan twitch. Usually this is just a bad capacitor on one of the output lines. Not this time. I pulled out my storage scope and looked at the output lines during the first 10 msec after power up. 12 volt line was 11.5 volts. 5 volt line was 4.5 volts. But....the 3.3 volt line was also 4.5 volts. Couldn't find a short between the 5 volt line and the 3.3 volt line. So pulled out my multimeter and tried to find a bad component using resistance measurements. Nothing. So I took a guess that the mag-amp transistor might be bad. It...

        Dell dockstation WD15 is dead
        by Francesc V.
        Hi:

A friend gave me this DELL WD15 dockstation that does nothing. Not detected by computer, no digital output.........just leds shines when it’s plugged in.
Here are the findings, followed by good pictures. :-)

        When pluged in, LED3 glows
Measuring some voltage in the circuit.

        Inductors
        - PL202 has 5V
        - PL201 has 3.3V
        - PL300 has 1V

        V. Regulators
        - UT30 has 19v as input and 6V as output. It seems ok.
        - UT27 (same reference as UT30, has no input/output voltage).
