    Need help to ID JCEMH2U

    Hello,

I am currently working on a ASUS laptop M/B model UX51VZ and i need help to ID the part in the pictures. On it it writes only JCEMH2U.

The history is as follows. The client disassembled the machine without disconnecting the battery pack and when tried to connect the LVDS connector back and of course bunt smell. I found a place, on the back of the board, with a bunt ferite bead as i believe, but the IC it's the main problem, it gets too hot with just pluging the charger connector. No leds light, no start, it's just dead.

I attached some photos of the M/B model number and the IC in question. Also a schematic for this board would be very nice to have, i am still searching for one. Thank you !

I finally found out that the IC in question it's a RICHTEK product, found also in the UX31 Asus board, but i can't be sure if it's the same on UX51VZ board...Anyway, if someone can share a schematic for this board it would help a lot. At least the power section. I couldn;t find anything searching on the net.

Flashing ASUS UX51VZ with correct bios
      by Flyview
      Hi!

Happy to be part of this forum for my first post!

      Short story:
I believe my dad's UX51VZ has an incorrect bios (v207) for a UX51VZH flashed onto it. I'm not quite sure what the differences are between UX51VZ, UX51VZA, and UX51VZH. The serial number of this machine is D5N0CY845932229 and comes up as a "UX51VZ-DB103P" when checked on this ASUS website. All of the bioses can be found at this ASUS website.

      1) Do I have the correct bios or should it be the v205 for UX51VZ? Is there something I can check inside the machine to make sure?

      Asus Ux51vz no picture

      Hey guys,

ive got a laptop here with a very strange fault.
As the title says the Laptop turns on Power Button lights up as well as the keyboard but no picture.
At first i thought it was a bios issue or a ram issue but the fans are not spinning either (or is this normal?).
I checked the board and found that vcore 1 from the CPU is good and the other vcore with the two coils has 0.6 ohms to gnd. I found that strange because if the vcore got shorted like from a mosfet it wont have a working Main Power rail.
Now the Question is: Is the 0.6 ohms normal?

Hello guys, hope you are all fine!

I'm facing a trouble with an ASUS motherboard UX51VZ REV. 2.0
The issue is simple, no power, no LED indicators... simple dead board.

After a little search i found a similar problem here on forum:
      https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ghlight=ux51vz
It could be the same issue or similar.

I use the boardview of this board to search and try to found any type of solution, but nothing.

      I've been checking and i have various shorts to GND;

      Hello guys,

I have encountered a huge problem. I got my hands on Asus Zenbook UX51VZ with UX51VZ motherboard, and after I replaced battery, it shows in OS, looks like it's charging, but actually it does not charge. Laptop does work from it as long as there is at least some charge in battery. At first plug in it showed 100% full charge and LED was green, but after disconnecting charger after about 3 minutes it dropped to 2% and stayed that way without charging.

I tried replacing battery, got another one. same thing.
