    identinfy this component please

Hi there can someone identify these two components please they are from a tv powerboard lj44-00092c ,on the schematic they are labelled as (ZNR-105)INR-10D651 .and the other is labelled as (ZNR-106) INR-10D651.
i have tried to google this but came up with nothing.
    thank you.

    Hi,
I think you have mixed up the parts. In the pictures attached you might have two zenner diodes, but the part no indicated on the boards (ZNR105/106) are for two varistors. Attached you can find the part code for INR10D561, wich is a varistor, 10 mm diameter, disk type, 560V .

In a transistor circuit protected by a fuse, the transistor will always blow to protect the fuse.

      Re: identinfy this component please

ZNR would mean to me it is a zener diode. This site tells you how to read zener diode codes http://www.noahtec.com/zener-diode-code.htm and you can email this guy if you have something different jestineyong@noahtec.com I do not know why these companies make it so difficult to tell what type of part it is. One would think they would want to sell them therefore they would make it easier to id.

              Gas discharge surge protector.
What is the board not doing?
The board does not need them to function.

                  thanks budm

i thought these were some sort of zener when i put meter across them it was showing open both ways so i pulled them from board.
the problem with the board was that it was completely dead,
i guess i will re-solder them back in the board ,do these have polarity or can they be soldered in either way.
                  thank you.

Interesting I learned something. So, when you get an over voltage these ionize and conduct protecting the the circuit?

What Zener Diodes on a Linear Power Supply
                            by caspian
                            Dear members,

I have a linear variable power supply with unknown brand name that I used for voltage injection.
Then it failed. I discovered that its transistors (Q1 and Q2) are shorted.
In addition, I discovered that its zener diodes are defective.
I can replace the burned transistors.
But I do not know the model of the zener diodes. the model number is not marked on the zener diodes.
Therefore, I cannot replace the zener diodes.
I do not want to test the zener diodes in a test circuit to discover their model or value.
                            no schematics are available...

I bought three of from them to also make battery packs with this output power limit in mind

I want to use this battery pack and turn it into a 9.1 output battery pack output to eliminate using 9 volt battery...

                            TV backlight zener diode
                            by unimatrix93
Hello everyone, I'm repairing an LG TV backlight and I noticed some strange behavior when I touching the backlight strip with a missing Zener diode.

So I replaced the leds on the strips and they seemingly working fine, but soon as I touch the strip which has a missing Zener diode the whole backlight turns off for a few seconds and then turns back on.

Is this caused by the missing diode? If so what kind of zener diode should I use to replace it?.

The led strips has 9 6V leds.

Element 32 inches tv (ELEFW328B) Unknown component: Diode or zener?
                            by Vincenzo2
My Element 32 inches tv (ELEFW328B) lost it's backlight (confirmed with a flashlight test) and the connector on the PCB (it has one board that has a processor chip, switch mode power supply, and backlight circuit) that has the two wires that go to the backlight LED strips has a very low voltage (28-29 volts) when turned ON, in my opinion.

Started testing components and found an SMD diode or zener that is shorted (even zero fusing resistors read a few tens of milliohms, while this thing reads zero).

I put some pictures here to show that it is labeled "M7"....

                            by hobostove
Hey there guys. I've got a Corsair power supply that's come across my bench dead. I usually don't mess with power supplies, but it's a slow week so I'm giving it a whirl.

Taking it apart I heard a screw rattling around inside, and when I got it apart I found a couple blown components near what I think is the 5VSB area.

There's a 22ohm resistor that's melted and open, but it still has the bands.

The other part is a zener diode and it's top went to jesus, so I can't read the marking.

It looks like the diode connects the source and drain of a TNY284...
