    Re: Reusing EPROM's

I'm in Arizona and once tried erasing some UV EPROMs with sunlight by placing the chips so they faced south and were tilted about 45 degs. Almost all of their bits were erased after just one day, most chips were completely erased in two days, and three days seemed to be enough for 100% erasure.

I've heard of people programming UV EPROMs in sockets intended for EEPROMs by making a few modifications, including maybe a +12V supply line where the programming voltage normally goes.

I got myself another stack of windowed EPROM chips.
They range from 256k to 512k and were all pulled from IBM PS/2 systems.
I also found a good use.
Someone on the net is offering an Onyx IP25 board with a missing PROM chip. What says hat it's impossible to just make a new one off and image?

          Reusing an old laptop screen
          by Nevillet
          Hi all,

I'm looking at reusing an old laptop screen with a controller board.

Below is a picture of the screen and the link is to a controller board on Ebay.

Does anyone have experience of doing this and could share a few words of guidance?

One question: Does the power to the controller board provide illumination power for the screen?

          Many thanks...

Reusing power supply from HP LaserJet RM1-5315
          by DarinC
I'd like to repurpose this power supply into another project. Could someone give me tips on what to connect to get it to power on. I assumed it would be simple like turning on an ATX (connecting green to ground) but I haven't figured it out yet....

Hi everyone, I wanted to ask for an opinion, I have 2 identical monitors, only the firmware and serial numbers change, 1 has a faulty card, the other I should put the firmware and serial number of the faulty card in the other working one, in the photo there are 2 eproms, the one on the bottom left of the processor and the one on the top right, I changed them, but nothing has changed, do you think I can do other tests?
          Thanks to everyone...

          Hello everyone,

          First, the data in brief:
          Manufacturer: Lenovo
          Model: ThinkPad L15 G3 21C3-0016GE
          motherboard: LG4 LT5 ADL RT UMA MB 8L - 448.0PZ26.0011

          EC Chip: NPCX997KAABX

So far I've been a silent reader, but now I need your help

I bought a laptop. The seller said the bios was locked. I was looking for a way to remove this ban.
I then got the CH341A and pulled the corresponding files from here https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...evices-and-ele...
The laptop was brought in with a BIOS problem and a password. After reading the dump, the information was damaged. I ask for help in the BIOS with a clean ME region. Motherboard 213035-1. Serial number: PW+04e998, Type number: 21c3-0016ge
