Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and would like to get a few answers from the members. Firstly, sorry for my bad english, I try to correctly write.
So, I have a Zotac 9800GT, what had shorted MOSFETs. It worked well 2 month ago. I replaced them but unfortunately a component ( I think a resistor which set the operating point) had broke down. I don't know what component is it
I replaced that with a variable resistor (because the 2 pads directly connected to the 6-pin's +12V and ground) and I increased the resistance until I measure 1,37kohm on that (R=U/I) because it need on full load 105W, and the capacitors are tear on DC. But nothing happen.
So here's my questions:
1. Had I correctly calculated the input resistance, or is it a big mistake?
2. Can someone measure me the input resistance of an other Zotac 9800gt?
3. Is it possible that the GPU died?
Thank you in advance for your answers.
