Re: New TV suggestions
AVSForum is a good place to ask about a TV.
What size are you after? Try a Samsung plasma - PN51F8500 is excellent, PN51F5500 is OKPlease do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: New TV suggestions
Once you've narrowed down the TV model(s) you're looking for, it probably wouldn't hurt to look at the customer reviews on large sites like Amazon, Newegg, Best Buy, etc. You can read about the pros/cons customers had with their sets/service.Comment

Re: New TV suggestions
It's not. It makes TV unwatchable for me. On every 100/200Hz TV (UK equivalent of 120/240Hz) I have seen, I always turn the feature off... it makes everything look like it was filmed on a cheap camcorder.
If you buy an LED-LCD TV, do NOT buy a Samsung...Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by DannyxGood day folks. Some of you may recall that a while ago I was struggling to put together what I considered to be a very basic automation for a water supply system. It didn't work out the way I intended and I learned my lesson to do it properly from the start, rather than try to reinvent the wheel and patch something together myself from scratch, so I'll stick to commercial alternatives for future projects and such a project just came in today !
This one is easier simply because this time the pump and level sensors are in the same place, so they don't require a remote connection.... -
by mon2Hi. I think we have a candidate for our first DFU macbook with a 'critical update error' message (A1706).
With regret, we do not seem to have a machine to mate to a suitable host to run the Configurator 2 tool.
Any suggestions on such a box ? The latest models are quite expensive on Ebay and such.
We do have a macbook with the older style Thunderbolt connector - can we purchase a Thunderbolt to USB C cable and run the same tool ?
The system details does show a THUNDERBOLT controller on this other macbook.
Does the host need to have... -

by dicky96Hi guys
You can see the attached pic - the QFN is faulty and needs changing. It is closer than 1cm to the DIMM sockets and of course I must not damage these
So.... best suggestions and techniques please. Desolder and Resolder. I have some thoughts myself but don't want to distort the responses... -
by StephenOk we swapped the LCD with a known working LCD with True Tone and Webcam enabled. After we installed it on another Machine it was disabled and no True tone anymore. We took the original LCD back off and put it back on the Machine it originally came from…now True Tone and the Webcam is disabled on this machine as well! Can someone explain why is this happening? People are saying replace it with a known working LCD oem from Apple…well we just did that and now both screens are disabled. What is going on here?
So basically we took the OEM LCD(the removed one we are testing) put... - Loading...
