    AON7403 Mosfet Equivalent

    Hellow guys,

    I am trying to replace an AON7403 Mosfet but i dot not have in my stock the same. So i wonder if there is any equivalent to this Mosfet.

    Thank you very much.

    Very common to replace. Almost all motherboards feature 2 x DCin mosfets which are N-channel; 30v rated mosfets if the motherboard is fitted with the BQ charger IC (Texas Instruments). Hunt for them on your donor boards. If the part fits physically, check to be sure they are indeed N-channel type and you should be fine to use as a replacement for the above. If purchasing new, consider the relatively higher grade parts from Texas Instruments with the very low Rds on resistance which means higher current can be passed through the devices.

      According to its Datasheet its P-Channel 30 V. This is the second mosfet in the DC-In Section . The First is a 7401. So if i can not find 7403, i DO have 7401 to replace! Think it will work?

        My bad, N-channel is far more common than P-channel mosfets. Have you confirmed that the 7403 mosfet is defective?

        Test it as follows - remove all power. Meter in resistance mode.

        Measure the resistance across the mosfet legs:

        source (1-2-3) & drain (5-6-7-8)
        source (1-2-3) & gate (4)
        gate (4) & drain (5-6-7-8)

        Post each measurement. If the meter reports 'OL' = over limit, switch to a higher scale of resistance. Each measurement should be hundreds of K ohms or higher. If not is not, flux and remove the part - with care. Then allow the part to cool down on our work bench and measure it again while the part is off the logic board. If the measurements remain low, the part is defective.

          Hellow, i did all the measurements. On-Board -> Source to Drain 25.2 K Ohms
          Gate to Source -> 5 M Ohms
          Gate to Dain --> 6 M Ohms
          Outside of the board all measurements are on the Scale of M Ohms,

          So i guess its not the Mosfet, I also replace it with a 7401 P - Channel same results.

          Anyway now with the thermal cam seems to have problem the 3-5 V power supply. Rabit Hole i guess.

          Thank you very much for your help.

            How do you test MOSFET in laptops ?
            by Jane
            I tried to use this method:

            Testing an N-channel MOSFET:

            Step 1: Discharge the Gate (turn off the MOSFET)
            Place the black probe (COM) on the Source (S) and the red probe on the Drain (D). The multimeter should show no continuity (high resistance or "OL" – open line).
            Then, touch the black probe to the Source (S) and the red probe to the Gate (G). This discharges any stored charge in the Gate, turning the MOSFET off.

            Step 2: Charge the Gate (turn on the MOSFET)
            Now, place the red probe on the Gate (G) and the black probe on the

            by mohamed mm
            Hi,

            I'm looking for an equivalent dule mosfet for (IR3598MTRPBF - Dual MOSFET Driver, High Side, and Low Side, 4.0V to 13.2V Drive voltage, 20 ns delay, QFN-16)

            it's for motherboard ram voltage.

            I hope someone can help me.

            Thank you.

            VGA MOSfet permanently shorted and loss of MOSfet pad
            by Nooy
            Hello everyone, I recently found this badcaps site and super Learn Electronics Repair youtube channel. And I wanted to learn how to troubleshoot power supplies and VGA cards and how to practice soldering, since I already have a properly defective piece of them. I am currently trying to solve two problems:

            I have a Gigabyte GV-RX460WF2OC-4GD type card. I managed to find the faulty MOSfet (AON6414A) on it, which I replaced. The card starts up, but after about half a minute, the MOSfet in the same position will be shorted again. Is it possible that the PWM controller driving the MOSfet...
