    Hi,

I own a Fluke 117 multimeter, and suddenly it started displaying "Err EEPr" when turned on. What puzzles me is that the error is not permanent; sometimes it works fine.

Do you know what could be wrong with the multimeter? Any tips on how to try to fix it?

    Regards,

Take the EEPROM out make various reads and verify the content. Buy a new EEPROM and copy the data to it, solder it it and pray she comes back to life. Clean the DMM inside while your at it.
