Capacitor parameters at different frequencies - interesting discussion

I've read this thread on EEvblog quite a while ago and I wanted to post it (and probably even posted it here, sorry if that's the case)...

It's a very interesting discussion (along with graphs, pictures and explanations) about how different types of capacitors behave at different frequencies, why the esr can be different at different frequencies and so on.

    Link is here: http://www.eevblog.com/forum/product...the-moment/30/

Follow "The Electrician"'s posts but the whole thread imho is very informative.

    Hello everyone.

I am facing a red message above the screen permanently, also the image is greyed and the TV is unusable as is in any sources.

Of course I tried everything basic or a bit advanced, so I updated the firmware to version 2.550 which did not resolve the problem.

Accessing the secret menu by I have access to 3 interesting parameters regarding this issue
    -DRM Warning
    -CIPlus Query
    -CIPlus update

Obviously I tried to set DRM warning to OFF but this don't...

Gigabyte Aorus 1080ti - card not initialising
    by benwaterson
    Hi there.

Have searched various forums but haven't come across the exact issue I am having.

Bought the 1080ti with a fault (randomly shutting down, black screen , fans full speed etc). Previous owner had replaced thermal pads but many were too thick on inspection.

I tested the card in windows, all loaded up ok. Put some load on the card and it crashed. GPU was reporting 92 degrees C at the time.

Switched the stock cooler out for an AIO water cooler from my 1080 FE, booted the card back up - temps were much better and allowed some load to be applied...

EDMI ATLAS MK10 Electronic Meter Discussion
    by Stephan Mathers
Greetings, new guy here but always interested in the crazy universe of modding

We just finished construction of around 25 vacation houses, all inside the same private area.
Each house has 3phase power , and we bought an atlas MK10 meter for each house (25 meters total ! )

The metering on a per-house basis is done privately. Its not done by a utility company. The utility company will only charge us for the total consumption of all 25 houses together.

Id like to do a small modification on the firmware of our MK10 to make it easier identify each house's...
