In my case I am linuxian, I would like to find some good troubleshooting GUI Linux software for disk surface testing, RAM and motherboard stress tests, obviously it is dozen utilities in command lines , but I am a bit boring about it ...

Sorry to reopen again this post, but that is only to tell the way I solved the problem, ChatGPT helped me to locate a suitable dump for the BIOS, and now this nice little computer is at work again.

Diah : the only place the country can be changed is in the channel search, it did not solve anything, anyway the problem is general to every sources. The signal by HDMI or USB file is there, I can see the Image but darkly greyed....Leave a comment:

I installed the new update, no change except it has no more option in the secret menu to disable DRM Warning ...

Every updates I could find was in a zip comprising the three files which I copied to the root of the USB stick and installed by the update option of the normal menu.

Hello everyone.
I am facing a red message above the screen permanently, also the image is greyed and the TV is unusable as is in any sources.
Of course I tried everything basic or a bit advanced, so I updated the firmware to version 2.550 which did not resolve the problem.
Accessing the secret menu by I have access to 3 interesting parameters regarding this issue
-DRM Warning
-CIPlus Query
-CIPlus update
Obviously I tried to set DRM warning to OFF but this don't... -
Shame on me, surely I become old already .... I did not watch correctly, perhaps with incorrect lighting, that was a simple backlight issue .... Sorry to make all of you lose time with a such silly trouble.

How can you be sure ? Most of the time I only flash the eeprom BIOS and it works, it is not so often to be the emmc or Nand in trouble. Symptoms are often similar in both cases. In this TV set U409 seems to be the Bios.Leave a comment:

I may try a USB flash, because it has reaction from power on button, the LED goes off, but if it is flashing only by menu that is not going to work. Sometime a remote control key combination launch the flash, I don't know about this one.
I don't know also if it is possible to try a ISP flash of the EMMC with this board....Leave a comment:

Hello, I have some news, due to the continuous strikes of the post services here in Belgium, I just received the chips yesterday from Amazon. Cheap and I ordered 5 and I got 8 .... by the way I doubt all of them are really working , you know what I mean.
Anyway, the first one I tried, was flashed with success and the TV set is now working fine just replacing IC4104.

Yes sorry, you are right, I was watching in the schematic, there the number is not the same, but on the PCB the IC number is matching.
I will come back with some news when I will receive the small chip.

I wanted to flash IC1404, but it is not even readable or detectable by the programmer, the chip is dead I will order a new one, I don't have it in stock or salvage unluckily.
