Re: Asus vivobook 17 x712f

Thank you hoaca388, i tried this dump but it did not work at all.

After burned and verified ok, the computer did not even want to power on. Looks dead. I restored the original BIOS to verify, no hardware damages.

    Hello

This computer is blocked with the BIOS password on boot, the procedure with Alt+R does not work on this model, then I of course watched other topics about this computer in this forum , I tried the dumps proposed without success.

Please can anyone fix the original dump to reset the password ? I joined it .

    Thanks for you help....

  • Samsung UE50HU6900SXXN

The TV is on boot loop, only the smart logo is showing, then the screen remain blank with backlight for some seconds and then it is restarting.

It has been some dry joints in the power supply board, i fixed them, capacitors are good, coming out from it , the 5V is steady, the 13V is at 12.75V and is dropping to 2.95V always, I am not sure if it is a switchable power or not.

I guess the problem is coming from a corrupted firmware in the EMMC but I could not locate a dump to try, the chip is a KLM4G1FEAC-C031, I would not be pleased to replace that BGA chip neither...

Yes I know, but even from official spare parts providers I could never grab any correct Samsung Nand chips without any bad blocks, I tried to use the three method to override bad block, but no success ... with the same software as you showed for RT809H

Wow thank you so much, now it is working fine, I did not know it needs to be protected, is it sometime the case for Nand chips too ? Because I failed them always ...

Thanks for the dump, but looks like something else is wrong, still be no reaction from the stand by LED, the processor keeps cold as well as RAM chips, no POWER_ON signal going to the power supply, I could find 1.8V on the power button, and 3.3V is coming to the IR module.

I don't know which is the vital power supply in stand by mode on this motherboard.
Pins 1,7 and 8 are powered with 3.4V at IC1604

Anyone as a clue ? As usual with Samsung no schematics for this board ....

  • Re: RT809H External QFP48

    Hello

This post i suite old already, i know ! But i would like to add some information as update for readers, This chip is especially used on Samsung mainboard and Samsung enables some connections to flash this chip onboard.
Then to be brief, using the ISP port of RT809H connect the blue and grey wires to SDA and SCL and the black wire to GND of the mainboard, power the main board with its power supply, and that is done, the programmer can access the chip to do anything as necessary.

Then i would understand it is not really worth to have such tools for actual days tv sets , anyway i just discovered new methods for panel troubleshooting in my new e-book , that may help but only with ancient models ...

    Hello

It is not up to date for actual models and surely not forecasting any evolution that is a lag, thanks for this remark.

I have been watching for such monitor too, but i think it will suffer about the same problems as double LVDS and ancient LVDS design resolutions ... that look very good anyway, not cheap unluckily.

The LCD tester does enable to connect directly to the panel as well ? or only depends of the t-con board ?

PS: the link you gave me looks like an...

  • LCD/LED panel display tester.

    Hello all

I found it in my e-book i am reading , they said it is a good tool to troubleshoot panel and t-cons. What do you think about the LCD/LED panel tester https://fr.banggood.com/5_6-84inch-LCD-LED-Panel-Tester-LVDS-Screen-Tester-TVComputerLaptop-Repair-Tool-p-1152153.html?country_sel=73&currency_sel=USD&cur_warehouse=CN

Is it really useful , and is it doing

  • Re: Any convenient cheap programmer for TV chips ?

I think, firstly i will concentrate on reprogramming BIOS only, it looks like more regular than Nand flash, anyway at Aswo i can order most of Samsung TV's preprogramed NANDs. Bios too most of the time .... I think , I will take adaptation time on it. My TV's cemetery contains at least 20 TV sets i should reflash and good enough to go after.

    Thanks for you help.

  • Re: Any convenient cheap programmer for TV chips ?

    Ch341A is a USB stick with a 16 pins socket right ?
None of these 3 ones are doing at same time Nand and small BIOS at same time ? Nand and Emmc always needs specific programmer ?

Sorry my questions may looks silly, but i never handled programmers myself, even if in the casino company i was working on, it was very usual to re flash chips with new software especially for the slots and roulettes ....

    Thanks for your answers

    Hello,

Thank you for this , especially Samsung is fragile concerning ROMs and BIOS, that would be useless, what do you use ? You have some hint about it ?

  • Re: Any convenient cheap programmer for TV chips ?

    Hello all

As i could see in this link Link to Banggood website to TL866II TL866II is supporting NAND(and perhaps EMMC ?) as well, what is different to the previous link for the same product (I think) which does not claim to support it, unluckily this one is lacking of any adapters.Re: Any convenient cheap programmer for TV chips

  • Re: Share and question about TV repair books

    Hello all

That is just a kind of introduction, but not the most interesting part, everything is such style of experience in big details on that book, as i could read he made a concentration of a few previous e-book he wrote before focusing only on t-cons and panels, but i would like to find a specific e-book clearly speaking about mainboards as well, i don't know if he wrote one or anybody else.

I like such peoples who want to teach repairs and are having no...
