Is it true that a temperature affects LED performance?

Re: Led
If you are referring to an indicator LED, then just keep the current below the recommended maximum. I have found that most panel indicator LED's get plenty bright running at 1/10th the maximum current or less.
If you are referring to a high power flashlight LED, such as the 1 watt and above units built on their own heat sink, heat is a big issue in keeping the LED from destroying itself. The more heat, the shorter the expected lifetime. Is it plugged in?Comment

by jm1234Hi,
I'm looking for ideas on how to aproach this, I spent many ours already.
The dryer doesn't get hot, only warm and then gives error E25 (Fault with the sensor or electronics detected).
Now I'm testing it using the service mode - it gets the temperature of the heat pump liquid to 52C and then it stops the heat pump. After few minutes it then produces E25.
I tried to understand if it stops the testing because the final temperature was reached and I don't think that's true. While it was running, I heated that sensor using hot air to 80C and then it stopped. So I think the... -
by CapLeakerGot a new victim:
AcuRite 5 in 1 Iris outdoor weather station not updating the temperature / humidity anymore. The original sensor is a SHT21. Also there are identical other sensor manufacturers. I chose the HTU21D to replace the original SHT21. Both have identical specs. I've had two failure modes with these sensors.
A: outside temp stuck at -40?It's cold here at times in Canada, but not that cold!
B: stuck at some temperature and maybe updating once in 12 hrs or so.
Easy solution is to go to AcuRite website and purchase the sensor. Right?...

by resistor83hello everyone, I have a HP Pavilion 15-ab062nl laptop with a complete shutdown problem
I state that the problem is neither the SSD disk (new) nor the ram that I changed with various modules.
A few days ago I formatted this laptop with windows 11 and during the installation (more or less from 30% to 50%) the laptop shuts down completely. Keeping the laptop open I notice that the copper heat sink is quite hot and therefore I change thermal paste with an artic MX-4
I try again to format and now the laptop turns off but towards 60 70%. I leave it all night to... -
Mounting and Handling Guidelines for TO220 TO220F TO247 Cases / Packages
The TO220, TO220F and TO247 are the popular packages for power devices because of their versatility and ability to dissipate moderate amounts of heat. This application note describes the basic guidelines for handling power MOSFETs in TO220, TO220 and TO247 packages shown in Figure 1. Please note that only mechanical and soldering guidelines are covered here. Additional precautions are required for isolating high voltage rated devices to meet safety regulations.

by DreigasHello,
I bought from China ISL95880HRTZ (3+1+1 Voltage Regulator with Expanded ICCMAX Register Range Supporting IMVP8 CFL/CNL CPUs) chip, which I think is not the original one, but anyway, I tried to resoldering it with a 380C hot air station. Seems soldering is pretty good, but the laptop doesn't work (it worked before, but still had some problems with power delivery).
Is there any big chance, that they sent me two fake ISL95880HRTZ chips or did I just use too big temperature for desoldering? I will try with another chip, but I can't find any info about the maximum desoldering... - Loading...
