    ISL95880HRTZ desoldering temperature

    Hello,

I bought from China ISL95880HRTZ (3+1+1 Voltage Regulator with Expanded ICCMAX Register Range Supporting IMVP8 CFL/CNL CPUs) chip, which I think is not the original one, but anyway, I tried to resoldering it with a 380C hot air station. Seems soldering is pretty good, but the laptop doesn't work (it worked before, but still had some problems with power delivery).
Is there any big chance, that they sent me two fake ISL95880HRTZ chips or did I just use too big temperature for desoldering? I will try with another chip, but I can't find any info about the maximum desoldering temperature in the datasheet for this chip. Which temperature is safe for most chips like this?

Maybe anyone knows? Or have some idea?

I've ordered IC's from reputable sellers and I still got a dud here and there. I am not so worried about the 380C rather the time you blasted it with at that temperature. Then it also depends on if there was a preheat on the bottom of the board or not and other things.
I usually warm the board and surroundings up, then I hit the chip on 380C and it comes of rather fast. Also depends on chip size and nozzle you use.
