Hi all,
Looks like this is going to be a productive week for me.
The "job" front is stuck given all the money news of the week.
Yet the "side job" front is still going fairly well.
As some of you know I take old two way radios and convert them into ham radio vehicle trackers.
With a little bit more work, I can turn them into receive and re transmit digital repeaters. We call them digies.
This is the unit I finished up today.

It is based on this article with the addition of a power kill switch for the transmitter. I break a DC line for one of the low level RF amps. The client asked for that as a tune up function.

So in a few days it will be 'banging' away in Northern Virginia someplace.
It gets delivered on the 10th.
Have a couple more trackers to build for another client.
That one has kept me in food money for quite some time.
He likes my radios. His brother has three in the Pacific North West.
A weather station, a digi, and a vehicle tracker.
Sold two power supply units that I got cheap on Ebay and did some minor repairs on.

Even did one of the more normal repairs you guys work in. Re capped a PSU board from some kind of TV.

That is the news.
Anybody else working on fun stuff?
