    60mm long radial electrolytic?

When I was scrapping a power supply, I found a 6800uF 10V Teapo SE radial lead electrolytic capacitor (60mm long, 16mm diameter, 1993 manufacture).
A parameter/characteristic search (Chemi-Con, Nichicon, and Panasonic) revealed that the longest radial lead electrolytic capacitor is 50mm.
Have you ever seen radial lead electrolytic capacitors which are 55mm or longer?
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

      Yes. - Here.
Was a thread about a TV [plasma I think] with some weird custom order caps maybe 4" long.

      There's also this.

          Yes, that was 50mm long x 12.5mm IIRC 56uF 450V

i see longer caps all the time - try looking in the power section of old tv's or industrial monitors.
they usually have 3-5 pins or a ring around the base to keep them on the pcb.

what's actually funny is that i often have to re-drill the pcb to fit the smaller modern replacements - the look on the customers face is classic sometimes.

Yup, I thought it was your post but I don't remember what the device was and so couldn't find it again.
I thought they were much longer than 50mm though.

That old multi section capacitors around 1" or greater diameter is no longer used in general TVs for last 20 years. This type of caps died out when tube/valve died out by 1970's.

Only thing I saw them were in old large computers and large power supplies, industrial applications.

                  Hello,

Today I discovered that PSU Chieftec BDF-750C PSu has died. Not sure when that happened since I didn't use PC for a long time. PSU is not that old, about three years, but just out of warranty.
I had some previous success in repairing different electronic devices including PSU. Until now, the problem was usually bad electrolytic capacitors after many years of operation, but this time is different. When trying to turn on the PC, fans move a little bit and then nothing. There is astable 5V SB (actually 5.13 V DC Standby voltage), but that's it.
                  I tried to jump start...

                  Cyberpower 1500AVR UPS repair
                  by quickname
I'd like to start out by thanking this forum for providing the info to be able to repair my 15 year old CP1500AVRLCD UPS. Here is all the info I gathered during my trouble-shooting and re-capping.

Like clockwork, I've had to replace the SLA batteries every 4 years. It was about that time and the UPS was acting like it needed new batteries... randomly shutting off with AC present, not being able to charge fully, and poor runtime when AC was removed. So, I replaced the batteries but noticed that it was not charging properly.

I decided to verify that the batteries were...

I've got a Toei arcade CRT chassis and printed on the PCB is CM-R14 but it might be a CM-R20 and so far needs two caps replaced, I've looked on the Nippon Chemi-Con site and got their 2020 catalogue I cant find any info about the first cap in the catalogue or on their obsolete catalogue, on the cap is:

(Radial electrolytic cap) Nippon Chemi-Con 1uF 160v 85c 8mm diameter, roughly 15mm long (cap is bulging at the legs) with 6mm PCB hole spacing, the chassis service manual says this cap C58 is a CE04W with "04" in a smaller font than the capital "CEW" so it must be...

Both are older than years old now.

Pooling info here from what I have read.

Cyberpower 1500AVR takes 4-5 days to charge batteries after test depletion.

                  Hello guys,
I have a problem with my laptop as in the title, black screen, capslock displays error code 5 long 3 short, no voltage on the coils above the CPU, before removing the drive I had 0.8v there, power led flashed 5x long and the battery would not charge (current jumped from 0.5a to 2.8a), now on the power led I have a steady white light or orange when the battery is connected.
                  What I did:
                  - Laptop was not detecting ram, loose pins on ram slot, error 3.2 disappeared, ram working tested in another laptop

As far as I know the laptop was in another service center...
