    HP Microprossor Exerciser?

It was in a suitcase which....used to be filled with foam but was now filled with brown sludge.
Anyways, form what I can make of it, you plug it into the socket where a Zilog Z80 goes and plug the Z80 into the thing, select a test and press enter so I'm assuming from the name and what I just said that it must be some sort of test tool for the Z80, right?
Now would anyone have any additional information on this? I'm tempted to plug it into my TRS-80 and see what happens.

I don't see myself parting with it for a while.
So I assume that if I install it inline with my Z80 in my TRS-80 it will let me play with the processor without any magic smoke?

IF it is in working order, yes. And if you are ever asked to fix an expensive piece of equipment based on the Z80, you'd be ready.

Kc8adu, if you want one of your own, these guys have them.

Still don't know how exactly to use the thing but I got no magic smoke when I plugged it in.
