    Thinkpad X13 Gen 3 Not Charging via Thunderbolt - need SPI bios

    Thinkpad X13 Gen 3 Not Charging via Thunderbolt seemingly after an update. Ran out of battery and stays at 5V Fan spins for a second when it switches on, but then power button blinks 2 times and goes off

    What I have tried
    - I managed to extract a TBT.bin from Gen 1 version, but I don't think its compatible, as its not even moving to 20V as before, but stays at 5V only - https://support.lenovo.com/au/en/dow...n-1-t14s-gen-1
    - Padded with FF until end to fill 16MB bin and still no success in loading
    - Flash all FF and tried to boot up, still stays at 5V
    - Tried holding RST button with no battery installed as per https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...70&postcount=3

    Does anybody have gen3 firmware for the TBT or know if Gen1 is compatible and I am doing something wrong?


    I zipped my dumps of the UB1 rom, which I believe is the TBT

    I found these, but no luck with either of them flashed on UB1. It's strange that one of the bins is 32MB

        Hi. I think I have a similar problem.

        Can I know which programmer are you using to flash/read/dump for 25R256JWEQ?

        Also, what software are you using, since I cannot find this specific chip on the ASprogrammer database. Thank you.

          Salamat Shan, I use, NeoProgrammer with CH341

          What is happening with yours? Not charging?

            I see, thank you for the information and reply! I messed up with BIOS settings and accidentally saved, which led to bricking of the device. (More details on my problem here in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=125378)

            I now know that this chip is readable with other programmer softwares. I was using ASprogrammer but it cannot read this chip.

            By the way, did you desolder your chip and solder back, or did you just use this clip? It is very difficult to clip it to the correct position lol. Sorry for bothering, but I really appreciate your reply!

              you should be able to read it with most programmers
