It melts any kind of solder.
I bought one of the blade type tips and it's awesome for cleaning up when doing BGA reworking.
An update to the stand also. As ghetto as the last but working quite well. I just need to position it better as I managed to burn myself when adjusting the hot air.

On the adapter thing it lists L and N. So that is Live and neutral.

On the soldering station how do I know which is L and N there??

Hello I bought this item, here are some photos, I got this from banggood website.

How do I know which way to add the UK adapter for live and neutral. What if I get it mixed up.

They were yellow with hard plastic ridges in making a taper at the end. I still have mine around somewhere.
It's a bit of solid core mains btw.
When I get a bit of time i'll make something a bit sturdier with another to hold my hot air wand. It might be a while but i'll be back with something better.

i like banggood because they are fast and if they fuck it up, they sort it straight away.
they can be a little more expensive sometimes, but i think it's worth it - a bit like "insurance"

they also have specials a lot.
i got one of these yesterday for £35

    Bakon 950d problem

I have a problem with the Bakon 950d soldering station. It worked for many years without a problem, now it warms up to the set temperature and displays the error S - E. I noticed that the MOSFET AOD425 reaches a very high temperature. Where could be the problem?...

    Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Bakon 950D "Extra Crispy" mod (19->24 Volt)

    Hello, you fine folks.

I've been hearing good things about the Bakon 950D (what a funny name!) soldering station with T12 tips (mistakenly labeled as T3 or T13, i see), so I thought i'd order one and a set of various tips.

The station arrived a couple weeks ago and I was pretty impressed with it, but I wondered if it could do just a little bit better. The replacement tips have arrived last week, just need to pick the package up. Anyway, on to the bacon (pun intended)!

I have noticed that it is usually labeled as 75W. Well, mine is labeled as 50W, so I...

    DIYPHONE Store and AIXUN T420D
    by Sudoer
I've seen enough reviews of AIXUN T420D on YouTube and decided to try it. One handle defective from the inside, ruined 3 JBC tips, just destroyed the plastic on the tips. One stand does not work, the soldering handle not drop the temperature. Because the seller refused to return the money, and AliExpress supported him and even PayPal did not help, I can disassemble this piece of shit and see what inside, if anyone is interested. The seller said that the station does not work with JBC handles, but I checked that it works. It's just a pity to connect the original handle to this shit. Beware of order...
