Soldering tips N9-XXX for ZD-8916

Hi,
I have soldering station ZD-8916 and I only see like 6 different soldering tips being offered, eg. by tme: https://www.tme.eu/ie/en/details/zd-...er-peak/n9-26/
Very limited variety, I'm missing a chisel ones, it just doesn't exist.
I thought to myself everything is available in china, but they don't seem to be using the same nomenclature. Searching in aliexpress or temu for N9 tip doesn't find anything.
Is there perhaps equivalent type to N9 I should be searching for?
Or is my soldering station that weird and I just shot myself into a foot?
I measured the diameter of the heating element of my solder gun and it's 4.3mm, so the solder tips should have a hole of that diameter.

They look like Hakko 900M style tips to me...

The diameter of the whole in N9 tips seems to be 4.6mm and the diameter of the heating element on my iron is 4.3mm. I don't think that matches Hakko 900M, but pls correct me if I'm wrong here.
Fwiw I bought these https://www.temu.com/goods.html?_bg_...01102661131350 just to see if they match, but they don't. They are too loose for my iron.

The cheap tips are usually loose anyway, even when they're the correct model. The genuine ones fit better.

For anyone who landed here looking for the n9 tips, I don't have any good news, but at least I want to report my findings.
I measured the temperature of the tips by:
1. Setting the soldering temperature to 315C.
2. Waiting for it to reach 300 (on the display)
3. start 5min timer
4. measure the temperature of the tip

The old ones that I'm using now: 170
new ones from Temu: 100 (loose fit)
New ones from local e-shops (not branded): 100 (loose fit)
new ones from TME (branded Solder Peak, so should be original): 110 (they fit snug)

So after paying 100eur for the soldering station back in Nov 2023 and some 50eur for the tips from various sources in 2026, I can only conclude that I need to buy a new soldering station

how you decided to buy that instead of a T12 or C245 based station is hard to understand.

I knew next-to-nothing about soldering at the time, had no knowledge of different tips. Still don't have, tbh. Went strictly by price, didn't expect to dig myself into the n9 hole.
Can you point me to a reputable source where I could learn?

Looking at this shop, it has 149 welding stations. Not one mention of T12, how is that possible, am I not looking right?

You probably will be able to easily spot the ones that you would decide to choose for yourself, can you recommend few?

I'm quite surprised you're only getting 100 degrees when the iron is set to 315.
Even if the tip wasn't making good contact with the heater, it should still heat up well in free air.

I think you have some other issue here, a faulty heater/sensor, faulty controller/power supply, or the iron is calibrated very badly.

The OEM of your station is ZhongDi (https://china-zhongdi.com/product/po...ering-station/ for your ZD-8916 model)

They make many models of irons. I myself have two:
The ZD-919 https://china-zhongdi.com/product/to...ring-stations/
and the ZD-912 Hot air/Soldering station https://china-zhongdi.com/product/2-...ework-station/

Both of the irons in those stations work well and I have not had any performance problems.
They do both use different heater designs to yours, but I don't see why yours should be problematic.
I think there is something else going on.

Agent24 you were right, the issue was with my measuring method - I used InfiRay P2 Pro camera. When I used Brymen BM 789 multimeter (with a wire), it showed values above 300C, even for the noname tips and even for Geeboon TC22 with C245 tips.
Anyhow, I learned something and am looking forward to my soldering experiences using Geeboon TC22, thanks stj.
