    Induction soldering

Have you read about induction soldering stations, such as the Thermaltronics TMT-9000S?
An article about this station shows the larger tips are excellent on large ground traces, and that a conventional soldering station would burn up the flux too quickly, leading to a dry joint.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

That one is a ripoff of the Metcal MX-5000, apparently.
Specifications show it has about half the wattage of the Metcal.

When you say 'article' do you mean this? http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh...d.php?t=971697

Would love to see a 'proper' review if there is one.

Not bad, better photos, would prefer a video though, but that station does sound pretty good.
