Radioshack does sell the desoldering iron replacement tips for $2.

I received the desoldering iron for Christmas. It is slow to heat up compared to my Weller WTPCT with 800F tip. The desoldering iron seems to work okay on a practice mobo out of a Dell Dimension 2400 (pulled a few caps and the 4-pin +12 connector).

I have the radio shack bulb desoldering gun but picked up a desoldering gun with a push button type sucker built it. I really like it since it is more effective than the radio shack gun.


I even bought a few more for gifts and back up.
