    Rejoin cut flat cable ?

Is there a way to rejoin the two parts of a cut laptop keyboard flat cable? I was thinking about silver paste but I don't know if it can be done well.

I assume that the soldering iron can be left closed in the drawer.

    Yes you can...
First you must ensure that make mechanical joint extremly good done, maybe put some plate under and glue it to not move or even bend on that place again. Then proceed like this in video:

Precise repair of damaged lines on flat flex ribbon cable

If it is more easely you can prepare cable on flat surface before streight them with plate glued plate.
BTW I hope that cable is made of some material who can solder...

There's nothing you can do about it, there's nothing to solder, the tracks here are made with conductive coating, it's easier to buy a new or (used) keyboard

        Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

        Cable Repair
        by Patch2
I have a broken connector (believe it's a 6 pin mini-DIN) on a cable. The metal shroud and all but one of the pins are separated from the cable, and just stuck together for the photo. The other end is an unknown rectangular connector. The cable is for the foot pedals on an Italian made electronic piano, and the company is out of business. Looking for ideas on how to fix it. I have a soldering iron, but I'm not very skilled at soldering, so getting a retrofit for the broken end may be beyond my ability. The other end would be easier to replace, if I could get a mini-DIN cable with the same number...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
        by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

        Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

        First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

I cant see where the traces are coming from

I have attached photo of the cable taken from online and highlighted the pins I need to solder a jumper wire to and then mask but cant see where the traces are for the side where the pads have been ripped

Look forward to the help, again

HP-Pavilion x360 Laptop Dead After USB-C Cable Connection
        by fweonea
While at university, I connected my HP-Pavilion x360 14-dw0156ng laptop, running Windows 10, to a monitor using a provided USB-C cable. Immediately after this, my laptop's screen turned black and the device stopped working entirely. There are no signs of life such as fan noise or LED indicators, holding the power button does nothing. I've previously used this same monitor model and cable without issues, the cable typically charges the laptop as well.
I've attempted holding the power button for over 30 seconds, removing and reinserting the battery, and trying to power it on with only the...
