Need Help Repairing 60" Lg PN5700 Plasma tv

Hey all, I have a LG Plasma tv model pn5700 that has no video but audio works. This is the second time im repairing it. 1st time it had a bad y sustain board, ended up replacing the ysus and y buffer boards. Here is what ive measured so far

    Vs 205V
    Va 55v
    VSC 147v
    VZB 105v

Ive tried the auto ext gen test on the main logic board...still no picture. What to do next?

It's been my experience that, with plasma TVs, if you have sound but no display, it's likely an X (Z) Sus board..

Do you get the same VS/VA voltages off the X-SUS board??

You will not see a Va voltage on the Z-Main Bd. What I think he meant was Vs and Ve voltages. Look for any open fuses on the Z-Main Bd, since the Vs is good going to the Y-Main Bd and then to the Z-Main Bd. The Va voltage supplies voltage to the X-Bds along the bottom of the TV.

The VS (205)/VA (55) voltages check out to be typical on the X-sus board.

Let me check the Fuses....will get back to you guys...

Just behind connector P174 is the VZbias trim pot. Just above that is two pads marked with arrows. Put your probes on those two pads.

                VZB is measuring 105V

I don't see a location to test -Vy voltage. Please take a look at the image using link below:

I manage to swap out the ZSUS board....but still no change. Now im leaning towards the YSUS board and buffers being bad.

This would be the 2nd time I would be replacing these boards.....what would cause the ysus to keep going bad?

Picked up a 60PN6500 recently with the same issue.
There was only 4V on the 15V line.

                        Y-SUS board number: EAX64789501
                        Z-SUS board number: EAX64789601

I replaced the following components on the Y-SUS to get it back up and running:

                        D509 - K8A60DA - Shorted
                        D603 - ES1C - Shorted
                        R251 - 2.2 Ohm resistor - Open

I also soldered some possible dry joints. I didn't put them under a magnifying glass to confirm it, but felt it needed doing.

LG 50PJ350 plasma blowing Y-Sustain board
                          by Keshenatech1
Hi, I was wondering if there's anyone here with experience on the LG50PJ350 plasma or similar models? When it came in, it had 7 shorted mosfet outputs on the Y-sustain board, Q02, 04,11, 22, 24, 26, and 28 were all dead shorted. I replaced them with the exact same type, checked their surrounding area for other open and shorted components and didn't see any further problems. But as soon as I hit the power button on the remote, I had a loud Pop! and Q22, 24, 26, and 28 are shorted out again. The other 3 seem to have survived. Someone on another forum had suggested the possibility of a shorted panel....

                          Hello,
I am having Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV. While the TV was working, a crackling sound heard & video went off with audio still ON. After switching it off & ON, the red LED on TV blinks six times & then off.
Opened TV cover & observed foll
                          a) Green LED on the small PCB blinks at @5-6sec ON & off for 3-4 secs. Red LED on logic board ON
b)Vs & Va on power supply board raises momentarily to 209v & 58v resp & then drops.
                          c) Cold test on Y-main board shows all 3 pins of FGPF4536 IGBT short to Grnd.
How to confirm Y -Buffer board...

                          Panasonic plasma TX-P42ST50 - 6 blinks

                          Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...
