Re: usp440m-42lp psu
What tests have you done on it?
Stby 5v present?
Have you tried turning the PSU on by sending the PS-On, Vs-On, etc to it?
What set? PSU may well be fine--could be a Set fault and nothing to do with the PSU at all!TELEFIX

Re: usp440m-42lp psu
Fuse is good?
Early Bush plasma - probably early LG panel - 42V5/V6/V7? If so watch out for sparklies/maldischarge fault.
I'd check input fuse and bridge rectifier for DC.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: usp440m-42lp psu
Ha! A V7!
First plasma I ever potched with was a V7. Still got an alleged brand-new IPM for one kicking round somewhere....
10-1 that PSU is OK. You'll need to check for 5V stdby supply first before going any further.TELEFIX

Re: usp440m-42lp psu
Thing is--The V7 is pretty long in the tooth now, and only a 480p res, so not worth spending any real dosh on--certainly not investing say 50 quid in a PSU!
A few tests will determine whats what...
Firstly, with set unplugged, use your meter to check the fuses on Y-SUS and Z-SUS. Any blown and there's a short somewhere....
Then check the resistance from each fuse--to chassis metalwork. This should initially 'kick' or read for say half a second as the caps charge, then read a pretty high resistance.Last edited by Alastair E; 03-09-2014, 03:33 PM.TELEFIX

Re: usp440m-42lp psu
OK--Thats one of the 5V lines--there's usually a few. Some will be powered, some not when in standby.
Check 'em all, post results and the names/references of 'em pref with a pic of the plug you measured them at...TELEFIX

by dicky96Hi guys
I need one of these MP2329CGG for a repair job. It's a 24V 6.5A buck converter. But I have not been able to find a supplier who has that component.
Actually I would buy a few as I always think if I found one faulty already I will probably find more in the future
I had one supplier on Aliexpress who gave me a price $2 each, but I have been waiting some days since I asked for shipping price and they don't reply
Does anyone know where I can buy that part in small quantity (let's say 5 of them), or any equivalent I could use? it supplies the Standby... -

I've got a supposed blown transistor on my fuel pump on my car and I'm trying to replace it. It's a gel encased circuit booard with very fine connections. Please see photo uploaded.
I've cleaned up the area that I'm working on with alcohol scraped off the wires, etc..
I cannot get any solder to now stick any of the connections, I've used various grades of solder and flux combination, nothing... -
Hi, I'm looking for a BIOS and EC chip for my Intel NUC8i3BEH (motherboard model NUC8i3BEB). I received a faulty unit and am trying to repair it. The previous owner tried to tinker with it and erased the BIOS and EC chips, and I've been struggling with this for several hours (I'm a complete novice at this). I managed to rebuild the BIOS from the NUC8i7BEH, but the unit still doesn't respond to the power button. The board seems to be receiving power normally, as the green LED next to the SATA connector is lit. I would really appreciate if you could check if I rebuilt the bios correctly and provide...

by BadSabreHey all!
I updated my Lenovo laptop a couple of weeks ago using Lenovo Vantage and the BIOS update has bricked my computer.
I have a CH341 programmer but have been struggling to fix it.
My BIOS chip is the GD25LR128DSIG.
Latest BIOS update GLCN68WW.
If someone could help with an exact tutorial for this specific BIOS, that would be great!
When I use AsProgrammer to read the IC it comes up with IC model: GD25LQ128C and not the one above.
It also has a lenght of 16777216 where as the below tutortial says to...-

by superpj1Hi everybody. I forgot the password of my BIOS and am now struggling to reset it. I removed the battery for a whole week-end but the BIOS is still password protected. I think I must shortcut 2 pins but I don't know which ones. None is labelled G2201/RTC_RST/RTCRST/JCMOS.
I would be VERY gratful to anyone who can help :-)...-
