auria 32 inch LCD half screen jumpy

Ok I have messed with and repaired alot of LCD/plasma tvs in my day but this one is confusing me. Samsung made panel and tcon with off brand mainboard. What this tv is doing is just a little before half way there is an obvious horizontal line and everything under that line is vertically jumpy, and a times double or triple or depending on what showing on the screen vertically smeared all the way down. as you can see the top good portion of the screen is smeared underneath that line. above the line, completely normal. this seems to get better and worse but never goes away.

i have watchged youtube videos showing some Sony KDL series 32" screens doing something siimilar and the dude hit the tape carriers with freeze spray, coreecting this. on this set, I have already pressed on the connectors, flexed the screen, hit tcon and mainbboard with heat, replaced lvds ribbon from tcon to panel, cecked voltages, tested regulators, etc.. Nothing makes a difference.

Have you guys seen this and corrected it before? Im of the assumption that its a tcon. This panel only uses one ribbon from tcon to panel.

    Thanks,

This looks similar to yours (it is a sony KDL too)
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...sony+bad+panel
I would see if Mr Bill fixed it or not.

If it is not TCON then panel is all that is left.

Hmmm I'm thinking it may not be a tcon after reading his thread.
      Btw panel is Samsung LTA320AB02

I've seen that symptom on a 40" Samsung panel and it was the LCD panel. Though it was just tab bonds and fixable.

It's a bad panel . I tried the tabs on my KDL-32L4000 and i got the same results you got.

I was thinking that. Oh well it was only 20 bucks and some time spent.

It may be repairable if you want to tear down the LCD to the tabs.

What are your suggestions Tom. My panel on my KDL is on revision older but the same symptom. I'm wondering if it's something in the panel card that's bonded to the screen.

Well, if you're gonna trash it, may as well have a look, see if you can apply the fix as in the video.

I have torn mine down to the tabs already. Pressed on the tabs. Applied pressure and tried a little heat. Also checked tab bonding on the top boards of the lcd too. Have not tried freeze spray yet.
There are no visable issues with the tape carriers as far as I can tell. No burns or cracks.

Well freeze spray didnt help. But here's the odd question. When I loosen the lvds cable from tcon to panel and start to fiddle with the connections like barely making contact. The interesting thing is well of course the picture gets wierd. But the flicker goes away. Of course the screen redraw us slow. I'm thinking tcon now.

When the T-con starts going crazy, the panel might not get the right signals - it's 90% likely the panel is at fault here. Strip it down and check the tab bonds.

Tabs seem fine. I've done all I can with the panel tab bonds in the way of pressing on them poking an prodding. Lol. Also tried heat and freeze spray. Nothing seems to affect the issue. Stays the same

I know this thread is old but just got around to replacing g the tcon and same issue but I hit the right side of the screen with freeze spray and issue goes away til it heats back up. The point of the problem is right at the line where it starts. When I hit it with freeze spray the screen immediately fixes itself. When it starts to reoccur there is a horizontal line then the jumpy distorted picture comes back.

That would be thought as well but this is at the point of the side of the screen. Horizontally down the side like almost half way. The tab bonds are at the top.

Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

LG 55UH6150- trouble powering up, then half lit screen (pictures!)

The 55" LG has been in the basement for a few months without being used. Turned it on yesterday, set came on as it should and showed a complete screen for about 5 seconds (was on a broadcast channel but no antenna was connected), then the screen went mostly dark with about 1/3 of the screen on the right lighting up with brighter lines in that lit part (sorry, no pictures of that). Power LED was cycling too, preventing the TV from fully powering up.
Pulled the back off, all boards looked OK. Pulled the LED connector, turned the set on to see if it would power up but I don't belive it...

TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?

Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...
