Samsung lns4695dx lcd tv has blue power light no picture or sound I replaced the capacitors and checked the fuses I noticed that there is a humming noise coming from power supply board any hints or help would be great thanks

have noticed tha part# ip-40m-vmbc0624 what i think is a transformer is swollen and dark residue on the yellow tape around it. Also think that is what is making noise please help

When I heat the resistor up on the power supply board next to the main harness the picture comes on the tv and I have sound so does that mean the resistor is bad?

More likely the caps get warm up so the ESR goes down then the power supply start working. Which caps did you replace? The small value 22~47uF 50V in the primary side also? I see about 11 small one in the pictures.

I replaced all the caps in that area

I did not replace any of the ones u have circled but I also never heated them up

I think I can see the red resistor next to the connector, not sure the pictres are too out of focus to see what the resistor is for. Cold solder joints?

well changed resistor checked for bad solder joints and still not working. I am at witts end with this thing. i put blow drier on again and have picture and sound again for about 5 min. then shuts off again with no picture or sound
