Hey Guys: Enjoyed searching the forum this afternoon looking for a solution to my monitor issue, and alas - seems I may have another problem.
This is a Westinghouse L1916HW that I've had for a couple of years with a Darfon B092-XXX inverter board. It worked beautifully for what it is until about a week ago when I powered it up ... The screen was washed out with faded colors and a green tinge overall. There seems to be a shimmer to the display as well. The image is clear enough to be legible but I can't use it because it kills my eyes. I spend 12 - 14 hrs a day on this thing for work.
The monitor is hooked up to a HP Pavilion d4vt-1020usa laptop with a perfect display.
I took the monitor apart and see no issues with blown caps although there is discoloration under a Nikos Mosfet. I intend to replace all the caps, and that Mosfet if I can figure out how to find one, but ...
Does anyone here think that there may be another issue with this monitor exhibiting what I described above? Looking forward to your feedback.
Cheers,
David

But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
