Moving Email History to new account

I am changing my ISP soon. I am currently using the existing ISPs web-based email which is supported by Yahoo.

How do I move all my old emails, contacts etc to another (new) email address.

Can I for instance move my history to another Yahoo.ca account?

    If so, how?

Yahoo does not allow you to merge 2 email accounts, all youi can do is move your contact list from the OLD to the NEW account.

        BUT

There is a program called TRUESWITCH that you can download and is supposed to move everything seamlessly. I haven't tried it yet, just found out about it now..

i dont know if this option is available for ymail but u may wanna try: to use some other email client that allows you to save your data on your hard drive as some sort of file (ie. .pst) and then you can use that file (with all your msgs, contacts, etc) on some other account... ive done that on hmail and others but dont know bout ymail...

(and im almost sure theres a way to do it, one or another...)

          peace.

Yes it is. Using POP3 for outlook or outlook express, you can download your contacts and messages from Yahoo Mail or even Gmail to these email clients. Just go to email settings and look for POP3 option.

Yup Seven beat me to it if Yahoo has a POP3 address enter it into outlook or some other app to download all of your e-mails locally.

You should then enter your yahoo user name and password into outlook to authenticate.

That's how we did it in the days of yore before Webmail .
