how about removing the cpu fan, and making a bracket to put a 120mm over the area to blow over all the sinks together?

as for the 4 pin comment,

and if you look, the cpu fan header (at the top, left of the RAM slots) on my board has a little capacitor right where the 4th pin would be, it might fit, but i cannot tell for sure.

        see this pic:

(sort of) similar setup on a Gigabyte P35-DS4 (allthough not for the CPU Fan in this case)
Pay attention to this post, the extra pin connector would be sticking off the opposite side of the capacitor that is next to the connector.

                  Yes, tis the wrong board.
Pay attention to the cap placement on that Gigabyte board and yours and the orientation of the CPU fan connector.

Yes, but your fan header is flipped around the other way.

yes. and there is a screw on one side and a cap on the other. the cap is hard to see in the pics, but it is there. and it is on the wrong side.

No, the cap is on the correct side to allow a 4 pin fan connector to be used. I'm 100% positive asus did that on purpose to allow 4 pin fan connectors to be used.

As for the screw, BFD unless you used some huge thumbscrew or something that might be tall enough to get in the way.

                        Maybe that will help.

                          whoops, my bad.

anyway, the case actually used clips instead of standoffs for all but one screw. that is not the screw, so i'm cool if i had a 4pin to mess with.
