I realize this would be easier with a picture, but I can describe it very accurately.
It is found on a Yamaha Sound Card. It's a black plastic half-cylinder, vertically sliced in half, with three legs mounted to the soundcard via through holes and soldered in place, It's maybe 3/16 inch tall, maybe 1/8th inch in diameter.
Lettering on the flat side of the flat face says F942 or Fy42, followwd by "TM' on the next line, followed by u1133 on a third line, very hard to read.
I actually removed this bit off a Soundblaster card to replace the one on the Yamaha, which had broken off the Yamaha card. Didn't work, but probably the wrong value for this card.
So what is it and what does it do? Thanks all.
