there is only one wire cabel that is like this so its easy to fix it no need to worry about the power for the backlight its on the smaller board that gets power from the molex if your done making the connector keep in mind not to exceed 1 mtr of cabel becouse if you will it will not give you any screen @ all

That is because the device to be powered doesn't have sufficient capacitors, due to cable length and resistance (thin wires are like that) is enough to drop voltage and increased ripple.

Careful with the color and labeled wires, this one you show is poorly drawn. Be accurate. There are many who take this at face value and their monitor blows up.

Careful with the color and mislabeled wires, this one you show is poorly drawn. Be accurate, put info on which is which for each wires. There are many who take this at face value and their monitor blows up.

Also, there is no such as -5v and +5v WITHOUT ground. We always draw ground if the pins measures fraction of ohm to the chassis ground.

Just a note: very rarely a unit might have isolated supply island that is seperated from main ground, especially in units that have audio. I see this occassionally in TVs and some good audio combined with other systems in one. That will have extra text to the voltages like this for example: It is easily seen when you study one of those power supply that measured with no connection between audio supply and the other supplies especially ground paths. And good designer always put for every wire of power gets at least one ground wire to prevent ground loops through other chassis if number of ground wires is insufficient. Generic units are notorious for skimping on this.

        12V
        12V
        5V
        ground
        ground
        ground
        audio_ground
        audio_ground
        audio_+24V
audio_-24V <---sometimes have dual supply with this -V supply when a ampifier uses pull-push design (better than most single supply audio amp.)

well poorly drawn you can clearly see that wire 1(blue) and 2 are connected together 3 and 4, 5 and 6, 7 and 8 and the negative 5 is ground thats on the pc power suply and the negative 12 is ground also

the color of the wires is as they are one blue and the others are all grey, and the molex are the standard colors dont wanna be rude but even my boss who has no knowledge of electronic understands what i have drawn.

                Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

                Hi folks,

I'm new to this forum. So my trusty 17-year-old LG 47" LCD recently died. As I was booting it up, I heard a hum followed by a loud bang, sounds of pieces flying around, and loss of power to the unit. Inspecting the PSU, I saw two obvious problems: a blown thermistor (bang + flung pieces) and a visibly bulging main cap. Inspecting as many components as I could with my Fluke MM, I diagnosed that the following components on the "hot side" of the board were also bad: one of the 2 main MOSFETs, main 8A fuse, small cap (25V 47uF) connected to main caps, and a blown...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

                Hello
I have search everywhere for a solution for my problem, but cant find it anywhere.

When I was away to trow some garbage i always look in the electronic bin.
and this time i find a laptop.
Dell G3 15 3500, when I get home i look at the battery, add one harddrive, plug in the powercord.
the lamp for charmig is white.

Tryed to start it, the screen blink for a second, the keyboard lightsup, the fans and HD starts.
                but no Dell logo.
I tryed with a hdmi cable to another screen, still black.

                Hello,

I'm Working on replacing an Inductor on this Dell's board and I need to come up with a compatible replacement. As much as I would like to smash a comparable 2R2 in the same spot I'd like to confirm the specs before confirming a killed board. For my purposes I'd be happy with a second opinion on the replacement inductor or the actual schematics/board view. As this is a commonly used Dell Rugged in my local service area, schematics would greatly help in the future.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can render.
